Why WOULD Hearings about agents' case could go before House (Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean)?

The hearings are going before the house to uncover the cover up and corruption in this case. The Office of Inspector General lied about so called evidence. The Field Operations Supervisor failed to notify the FBI about the shooting and the assault of a federal agent. Other Border Patrol Agents lied in both their statements to the investigators and on the witness stand. Their is so much more of this case that needs to be brought out to the public. These two men need to be released and cleared.
The (US) Justice Department has no business being the long arm of the Mexican government."
Especially when large parts of the Mexican government are controlled by the drug cartels!
In the case of the persecution of Border Agents Ramos and Compean, it was the Mexican government/Drug cartels driving the US Department of Justice to prosecute US Border Agents who where stopping the drug smugglers.
The longer this thing goes on the more we find evidence that these guys were sacrificial lambs to appease Mexico.
There was a lot of procedural misconduct and im not talking about on the part of the border patrol agents.
