after marriage can i get my green card?is it takes along time?

If your fiance has a green card then his best bet is to apply for citizenship to the USA. Once he has the citizenship then he can marry you, and you can apply for your green card. There are several ways of doing this also. I also believe he if he has a green card then he can marry you and start the paperwork to have you come to the USA to be with him. You can come here on vacation then get married but you can not leave once you are here if you do that. You can also marry outside of the USA then he can apply for your entrance into this country via a K-3 or K-4 visa. The time frame is about 2 to 3 years for this process.to be completed. If your finance has a Green Card and you do not, when you marry you get your Permanent Residency Card. This is not a Green Card. Your husband will then be responsible for you in every fashion imaginable. He will have to report to the government where you are living, if you intend to move, if you get into a traffic accident, and so on. It can take 5 years to get your Green Card provided that you have a clean criminal record, and you are an outstanding citizen.
