How serious is colonial mentality?
Answer:
Let's see.... If England hadn't had a colonial mentality, and France and Spain hadn't had colonial mentalities, then there would be no one but us Indians here in the Americas. I see your point. It really IS a bad thing.
Colonial mentality is not as worse as island mentality. Do you think that Hong Kong or India would it being better if was for not the Brits. I don't think so!! Do you think that America would it being like we know it today.. What about you as a person or an American??
It has value, but also limits. In many colonial situations, the parent country brought technology, order, governmental systems and world trade to the colonized country. But when the colonized country is ready to stand on its own as part of the world community, the parent country needs to get out of the way. That's how the United States began.
There's a lot of ironies. Great Britain has been criticized for colonizing India, but the most articulate speakers of English in India have a tremendous advantage over lesser speakers in the world economy.
As serious as racial superiority
Its not that serious, people are just accustomed to their former colonizer. And theres nothing wrong with the teachings of the former colonizer, if its is good, try it. The cultures taught are good.
Yeah, and if it wasn't for immigration, the Indians wouldn't be here either.
