Is Carlos Mencia's real name, Ned Holness? lol, do many "latino" immigrants change their name like this?

Answer:
Actually, his birth certificate says "NED ANEL MENCIA". He was the 17th of 18 children, his mother's last name was Mencia, his father was German and his name was Roberto Holness. As a child, he went by his father's last name out of respect but later changed it when he was sent as a child to live with his aunt & auncle (mother's sister & husband) who had the last name MENCIA, his birth name. He is an immigrant. He was born and raised in his early years in Honduras. He moved to East L.A. to live with his Aunt & Uncle but then moved back to Honduras as an early teen, then moving back to East L.A. as an adult.
Yeah, that's his real name. It's interesting how many other comics don't like him because he steals their jokes.

Actually, Ned Mencia is his birth name. However, his father's last name was Holness - at the time, his mother didn't want Ned's last name to be that, so he was born with the last name of Mencia. He went by Ned Holness through all of his early life, which was done out of respect for his birth father.

Carlos Mencia is simply the name he goes by to sound "more Mexican" to sell his comedy. He is not 100% Mexican like he'd probably want you to believe, but he's also not German like some of the rumors are stating.
correction...he's 0% mexican.

he's half honduran, half german so technically, not a beaner

:)
