Realistically, how difficult would mass deportation of all illegal Mexican immigrants in the US be?

Answer:
Only one way to find out!!
eww you have the president as your pic
Impossible.
it can and should be done - machines could probably do the same thing they do
Difficulty level = impossible
Just giving an honest, unbiased answer here.

Duke - for the prosposition to work, gov. would have to check documents of EVERY LIVING PERSON in every county of every state, regardless of where they live or don't live. This is the EASY part. All illegals would have to be detained, then, they would be deported. The number would be WAY too high. We would have to hire more than twenty times our current border patrol and national guard put together.
well.. considering illegals live almost everywhere, and we cant be descrimnant - very hard. oh and all of our prices for everything that has gotten cheap in the past 10 yrs will sky rocket. :)!
Impossible. That is why the conservatives are not advocating it.

It is very possible to go after employers. No jobs and most of them leave. Then eliminate sanctuary cities and arrest those who harbor illegals. Then force local and state law enforcement to not ignore immigration law.
You could never deport all. I hate to have said that, but it is true. You would have to have all of them come out to say we are illegal aliens. I do not seeing any one of them doing that.
It wouldnt be near as bad as Washington would have you believe, but as Harry Reid, put it. That GREAT STATESMAN Harry Reid, the senator from Nevada, they are just undocumented americans. The politicians will allow them to vote before you know it.
Speaking of Nevada.... is Reid the best they have to offer from that state ?
Since Bush and the Republicans in Congress support amnesty. Why is it that Congress has done nothing for 6 years to enforce the laws on the books already and keep them out?
Why has the border patrol not been increased to take care of a known problem for the past 6 years. Put blame where it belongs squarely on the do nothing useless Congress in the past 6 years. Why did the Republicans kill the 100,000 new cops that Democrats and Clinton passed?
Impossible.Better option is self removal.Fine employers.
Not that hard and it wouldn't take that long . Just start enforcing the laws we have on the books .
It was done in the " 50's " , very well done too , called " Operation Wet-back "
How many running for office today will be willing to do something about sending the illegals home or stopping them from crossing borders into the US .
Check out their records before you decide !

CLOSE THE BORDERS , NOW , MR PRESIDENT !!
That's what you were elected to do , enforce the laws !!!!
If we enforced the current laws which prevent illegals from working, stopped giving welfare, food stamps, and free medical care to people who are not supposed to be here, stopped giving citizenship to babies born here to illegal mothers, and changed "anchor baby" laws which allow families to live here because they managed to sneak across to have a baby, the illegals would deport themselves. We don't need "comprehensive immigration reform" for the most part, we need to enforce the laws we have.
acutally this is very feasible. enforce the exisitng laws and go after the corps that hire them so they can have cheap labour.

if there are no jobs, they will leave in droves and pay their own way out. ecomonics rule most issues.
Very difficult, But i don't know about impossible! And if anything we owe it to the American people to at least try. This mess didn't happen over night and it wont be rectified over night either. (1) put the wall up (2) Fine, shut down and jail the employers (3) cut off any and all social service programs. After that is done many would leave voluntarily.
How big is your house? Could we just rope it off with some yellow tape? Can you make enough enchiladas for that many hungry Latinos? We could hire Halliburton to help you out, but they are burning their own bridges in Iraq. Ask the Great Decider while he is still reading Mad Magazine in the restroom.
Just about the same difficulty that we had during WWII to round up all Japanese on the West Coast and intern them. Difficult but no where near impossible.
All we have to do Is ENFORCE OUR LAWS,and stop looking the other way.. Once the ILLEGALS realize that the FREE RIDE IS OVER,they will SELF _DEPORT by the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS. No more FREE MEDICAL CARE,NO MORE ANCHOR BABIES, NO MORE BIRTH-RIGHT CITIZENSHIP,CRACKDOWN ON THE EMPLOYERS,NO MORE FREE EDUCATION.... You would have to go after ALL ILLEGALS though..
Be realistic, it won't happen.
It costs more to deport illegals than to leave them alone. And if you don't take them far enough into Mexico they are right back on the truck. Ask a border guard. They will tell you that it is a worthless endeavor to deport them. This problem will not be solved in our lifetime. All it accomplishes is more wasted money, higher prices on produce and such products, and more dead people frying in the desert around the Land of Opportunity fence.
I'm more than willing to find out. I bet a lot less difficult than creating a way to walk on the moon.
If it were first determined to be economically viable and favorable for our country (which I doubt), then to make such a forced deportation possible, we would have to stoop to some really fascist methods of doing it, at such levels that anyone would wonder if we hadn't completely lost our foundational values as a country. Alot of families with mixed status would be ripped apart, alot of honest, hardworking people would be taken out of the economic inputs that they are manning, and I doubt it is even worth considering beyond that point. I think that most people are just trying to set up a framework whereby these people pay some taxes and do their time as guest workers (making a little less) before eventually leaving or applying to stay. Think of it as a kinder, gentler form of servitude (almost like the military) after which they earn their freedom. Seems fairer and better for society as a whole- temps would have limited access to basic needs and pay for it, and would have incentives to work hard and make this their country.

Right now there is already a path to fast-track citizenship via the military. It always was an unofficial path (immigration judges smiled on military service and top-shelved those apps- that's how my father got in), now it is actually the law. You can hop the fence, join the marines, and apply for citizenship the next day (it will get approved pending honorable discharge or posthumously). If you don't want to join the military, there should be a civilian workforce of people wishing to be a part of this country. That's a big range and we need to agree on what this should be.
It's not impossible. But nothing worth having is ever going to be easy.

Invest the $40 billion annually in taxpayers money we are now spending on their healthcare, welfare, and fire / police protection and put these criminals in buses headed south and military type transport airplanes to the rest of the world.

Gets the illegals off the payrolls of the american taxpayer. For far less than the $40 billion a year these criminals are costing us, we can run LOTS of buses to the south, and fill up LOTS of military transport airplanes to other parts of the world as well.

Of course, we will have to enforce our borders and our immigration laws to keep the criminals from coming back.

But a good investment at the front end of your effort will more than pay for itself 100 times over in future years
It can't be that difficult,it was done before and everything went just fine.
First although Mexicans make up around 70% of illegal immigrants, the policy must be applied to all illegal immigrants.

Realisticly, it would not be too bad if the all avenues for detection and removal was used -

Detected at employment - Try, Jail, Deport
Detected by Law Enforcement - Try, Jail, Deport
Detected trying to use services ( Medical / Education) - Try, Jail, Deport.

The key is once you begin to try and jail (6months) persons who have come to the US illegally, many will go home on their own.

Sending them home is cheaper than building schools, roads etc... to support them.
it's not difficult. build the fence and start deporting.
No More Difficult than it was back when our founding fathers
took our Native Americans Indians on to a trail of tears to OK.
No More Difficult than it is to Win the War in Iraq.
Mass anything is a mass,So by enforcing our laws like AZ+GA+COL are doing. when more come on board the deporting will happen on it's own.No jobs No pay No stay. With the will of the USA citizens we have spoken No amnesty make sure you watch so the Dem's don't slip something threw as there is 1 crawling around?? Keep calling your Sen= close the borders ,enforce our laws, build the fence.
Shouldn't be hard at all, school starts in August/Sept and when they register their kids round them up. When they go to the ER for anything, round them up. Wait until stable to transport, but you get the idea. When they go to DHS wanting foods stamps and health coverage for the anchors or they sign up for WIC round them up and deport them. See, it's not hard at all.
In fact and reality it may take a year or so but in the long run it would be well worth the time and money to deporting all of them.
As for being hard ? No it wouldn't be hard at all. I could round you up at least a hundred a day with no trouble at all down here in Corpus Christi, TX. They are working all over the place mainly housing construction jobs on Padre Island, they stop at Jeliscos restaurant in Flour Bluff, every morning to eat their tacos. They come in by the truck loads from 6:30 to7:30 AM.
The majority of illegals are not very smart in the first place and are scared to death of being caught, they run when they see the "Green Men" IE. Border Patrol, so make it a task for all law officers to have authority to arrest on sight any illegal and have them transported by air, bus, or train to the nearest mexico border town. Let them know that if they are caught again in the U.S.that they will be working the road and fence building project on the border for one year with only food and housing provided to them while being incarcerated by the friendly Southern border states. Not a problem at all !!

I think Congress should fund this project 100%. Now this would be a well worth cause for using our tax money, instead of giving themself a raise.
