My parents live in Mexico and they have a debit type card that they can use to withdraw their retirement money. The money is deposited in a bank in Miami automatically by SS. I don't know about the other question.

IF an American retires and moves to say, Sardinia, he will receive his military retirement check there. If he marries a local (or even takes his American wife) and he dies, AND he signed up for the program that's like a life insurance program through the military, she will receive that annuity as long as she remains single. She will receive his SS check also.

I believe they do. If they don't you could have it sent to a mailbox that could forward it to you. It would cost something, but hey you ssn is alot more money. Heck, now they probably direct deposit. You can have a bank in the US and cantake it out where ever you live. You need the funds converted anyways.
i know retirement pay is sent anywhere in the world the retiree is. however, social security checks? that you have to check with the ss office nearest you. i can't see why not but the feds might have other ideas & rules/regs to cover such. now, when a ss person/receiver of the ss funds dies, well, that's it! no partial - no anything. fond memories of once was but that's it! doesn't matter whether if the 'local' is local in the usa or anywhere else, dead is dead & so is your ss check.

yes,, and also mexicans or any other foreigners who come to work here, will have their social security sent to them in whatever country they are in, if they payed enough in... most dont know that though so it goes uncollected
