How can I be outvoted when I'm right?
Answer:
Because the average person on the street is an ignorant, apathetic moron. Sad but true...
So you were wronged for being right. Happens all the time.
BTW, anyone that is asking here as their sole source of legal advice would truly deserve whatever happens to them if they didn't consult professional advice, based on the seriousness of the issue.
need to know the question & answer to verify if you were right. You see I also thought I made mistake only once... but I was wrong.
Ok Zeb, your bottom line is right, but you failed to answer the question. ? was: asker can or should send a letter of invite and proof to provide supplemental support if needed, such as assisting with travel plan expenses, room & board, cash allowance for duration of stay, but ultimately the proof that the vistor is not going to be "an intending immigrant" submitted by the visa applicant.
And you still have not provided the answer!!
People who vote for the best answer don't have to know the subject matter. Don't take it personally.
did you inform them that you were a attorney, making you a subject matter expert.
but then again if your a defense attorney. then maybe the way you interpret the law just sucks and no one right minded wants to agree. i hope your not apart of awarding that drug dealing border jumper money and putting those border patrol guards in jail. answer that one for me.
Because, just like in the political areas, it is the one that closest agrees with the asker is the one that get's the 10 points.
Just have fun and take the satisfaction in knowing that you are right, and the person will not be successful in taking the bad advice they took.
Personally, if I want to find out the answer to a legal question, I either call a lawyer or hunt down Coragryph (he is a lawyer - and darn smart, too!).
people generally like to think theyre right. they choose the answer that tells them what they want to hear, which totally defeats the reason for asking advice. basically just good ole fashioned stupidity.
Stupid answers can be LIKED against CORRECT answers.
As for your last sentence, I've said many times to questions: ASK THE PROFESSIONALS, NOT US YAHOOS ON YAHOO! You're right.
Many impoverished minds on here, you would do well to just ignore the issues and concentrate on the meaningless. I am a rocket scientist and the trajectory of my assessments might as well be bubble gum.
If enough people to disagree with you simple as that.
Well... It happens. Little thing called ignorance. Like CHESS?
