Why American jobs ALLOWED to go overseas and illegal aliens ALLOWED to cross our borders?
Answer:
Ask Jimmy Carter, this started during his administration. The unions have been the driving force pushing jobs overseas with their unwillingness to work with corporations to ensure competition in this new world economy.
Illegals should never be allowed to cross our borders, but a temporary guest worker program should not be off the table either. There are many Canadians who work in the states as there are many Americans who work in Canada.
edit:I grew up in Detroit, I think I am well experienced and knowledgeable enough to speak about unions.
It helps rich people get richer, so the rich people in our government let it happen.
It's an attempt to globalize. A small step for a one world government. The next step it to begin blocking our continents together into unions. North American Union, European Union, and China and Japan are moving for the same in Asia. The final step would be to bring these Unions into one, a New World Order. Centralized banks, which controls nations money are responsible for trying destroy Americas constitution. Nothing else makes sense to me.
One of the reasons Jobs go overseas, or outside the country, are the regulations imposed here on manufacturers and service providers that restrict competition. Good examples are inspections and cleanliness required in the food processing industry, particularly the meat industry. We have had two suspected cases of BSE which have not reached the food chain. Japan does not import our beef, but they have had myriad cases, and haven't actively done anything to control BSE. We have extreme controls on safety in the work place, many cost a lot of money, while other countries have no controls. The cost of Social Security here is higher than total wages in places like Mexico and China.
Ask your Congressmen why they are selling Americans out for cheap labor!
Companies make more money overseas because there are a lot less safety precautions and inspections and labor is not regulated. Example China, it was commonly thought that when China became a major trader on the world stage that the human rights issues that they have would fall under enough scruitny by the world that they would have to fix their problems and raise the wages for their people and stop indentured servitude, that has not happened. China is but one example...
Our government looks the other way while illegal immigrants cross the borders because they make half the wages of our workers and it is a way for companies in the US to save money, even though the middle class taxpayer must subsidize their wages with government assistance such as education, health care and food assistance for needy families.
I also believe that the US, Canada and Mexico are considering (if not already done) a NAU to compete better with the rest of the world. American workers are going to loose big time, Canada will be slightly less but will still hurt. Illegal immigrant wages have already depressed the American laborer wage and now it is actually starting to lower in certain sectors because of the dominance of illegal immigrant labor.. These area(s) include agriculture, construction, manufacturing and other service based industries. Visa abuse and overstays are now working on the high paid sector of our job market. We as Americans and Canadians are in for some hard lean years... The Mexican laborer has no where to go but up they are already down and out.
Because the federal gov. is making easy for them to do so. Means that CEO's keep getting those nice fat paychecks while the citizens face the loss of making a living for their families and meeting basic needs.
Illegals are being allowed to cross because the few companies that are still here want to have cheap labor - as they have in third world nations - and keep the profits for a select few.
These points along with several of the others that have answered you question.
If I had to limit it to just one reason - I would be hard pressed between two. It would be between 'POWER' and 'MONEY'.

Because it prophets certain people and opens the doors for a one world government.
