I have a legal question?

My cousin went to the embassy to try and get a visa. The lady told her that they wouldn't give her one because there are too many Mexicans already.

Is it legal for her to say that? Can my cousin sue for discrimination?

Answer:
Sue who?

First of all, you do not have a right to enter another country. That is why you need a Visa. No rights, no suit.
No she can't. And I doubt your 'cousin' was at the embassy.
I don't think so, almost every nation has a quota of visas to America
I think it is discrimination. I would get advice from a lawyer. That is rude and uncalled for.
It would be hard to prove but she shouldnt talk to him like tha. Now a days people sue for alot less
isn't that typical...I demand rights the hell with American quota's, laws or anything else American...I'm Mexican - you owe me

All this BS turns my stomach...ATTRITION THRU ENFORCEMENT
Sue-I hope you got her name.
if that is actually true, and it was said exactly like that, then i think it would make a good case.
I honestly doubt your cousin actually went to the embassy.
You can't sue someone for speaking the truth.
Tell your cousin to tell the lady in the embassy to get her *** back to where she came from then!
Maybe there is a supervisor your cousin could talk to to report the women's rude behavior, but I think suing them is a little much.
Truth hurts doesn't it, maybe if there weren't so many illegals she would have a chance
Just know that US embassy staff in foreign nations are notorious for this kind of behavior. You can report it to the dept. of foreign affairs but I doubt it's worth the effort.
You are not citizen you idiot. So no you can not sue. What a lazy low life.
I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be asking people on MyTend. It's not exactly the most reliable of advice.
