Canada, as good as it is, is what the USA is becoming. Sans the population. Even with a limited number of people, opportunity wanes. Canadians want to come to the USA. Many come just part time. That works.
Problem in our country now, is that we have an inundation of mainly Mexicanos flooding our corridors. THis huge influx will destroy what we have and create a circumstance that will end up being like Canada's. Only poorer.
Lousy general healthcare, overpriced housing, socialist type of government even more than it is in Canada ...and basically, too many people to comfortably live with. The wealthy will get wealthier, the poor and middle class poorer and life will be less.
That's why so many are concerned. Liberal, conservative or otherwise, no one who is truly thinking can see the future as anything other than less appealing.
That is my observation. Candadians would welcome the influx as they need the new blood. More buyer, more people more gross national product and the socialized services there will only get worse. Bush already said, "NO DRAFT". The only way this would change if the next President (probably a Democrat) institutes it.
If the draft is instituted it will be because the democrats pushed it through. Bush has stated that he will not approve a draft. Why go to Canada illegally when Mexico will welcome you with open arms.
