the answer is no. Mexicans are illegally crossing the border in vast amounts and the mexican border patroll crosses with the illegal immigrants if they have the chance. The truth is all mexicans want to leave one way or another not because of the political situation which hardly affects them anyway because of poverty and uneducation. mexicans just wanna come here and abuse our resources and take our money. if i were the president id just bomb the **** outa mexico to say GET THE HELL OUTA MY COUNREY

ya know, i hadn't thought of it that way before. you could be right. i just read an article at telegraph.co.UK, written by someone who is in Venezuela, and they said the US and British embassies are receiving double the requests for visa's than they were a couple months ago. it went from 400 to 800 a day. and some website that helps people move out of the country used to get 20,000 hits a day, and now they average about 60,000.
i'd be alarmed too, if i were living there.
I wouldn't be surprised to find this as one of the reasons. Hey, the reason the overwhelming majority of immigrants come to America(legally or otherwise) is to seek better lives for themselves and their families, and the neo-communist, psuedo-socialists who are gaining power in Latin America sure as hell aren't giving them such wonderful lives at home.

No, I came here when I was a child way before the socialist revolution. But I'm happy that I left before it even began.
They are coming here for many reasons .
Some are enticed by Corporations, for cheap labor , with the promise of a better life .
Some are encouraged to come , by their Government , to send money home , to help the countries economy .
Some come to make millions selling drugs and some come to commit crimes .
Our Government will not close our borders , to insure US protection against terrorist, drugs , diseases and crime .
Why not ,, well they don't want problems at the borders , when they complete the NASCO Highway , from Mexico to Canada
No, the only reason for ppl to get away of they home country is the perception of "LACK of FUTURE" and in the 90's the Washington council policies (neoliberalism) hit severely the employment in Latin America, and until the economies gets stronger enough to support full employment they will keep emigrating, but not only to US, and not only from Latin America. China is a communist country that keep growing about 8% every year and decreasing poverty levels too, nowadays people in China don't have the need to get out of their country, in fact now they are coming for business. They have health, education, JOBS, even wealth, in other words they have FUTURE, so Chinese give a chance to China even if they're not all OK, but How many Latin Americans see a bright future in their own countries nowadays? just a few, maybe in Chile and Costa Rica.

2) 95% of the latinos that migrates to the US are from Mexico, Central America or the Caribbean.
3) Central America is not a part of South America.
4) All Central American presidents are right-winged or pragmatic leftists.
5) Mexico do not "shoot to kill" in its southern border. In case you have this serious denounce to do against Mexico... you should look for some human rights organization, or the UN or the OAS, or the media, I think Fox would love to tell your story. (LOL)
