unfortunately, there are no other ways except for marriage....whether a person who entered the US with a visa and then overstayed thus making him illegal or a person who entered the US without a visa i.e. jumping over the border without inspection....when caught by immigration is automatically put in removal proceeding to be deported....and once this person is deported, he/she is automatically barred anywhere from 3-10 yr from re-entering the US....Unless Amnesty is passed!
