Will Spanish soon be the official language of America ?

Answer:
No. We will never have an official language. Language is a cultural thing not a political thing. Don't you find it ironic that people are upset that Spanish is spoken in places with names like Los Angeles, Santa Fe, San Diego, San Francisco, San Antonio ?
No, but a law will be forthcoming that all children must be bilingual by age eight.
They say English is the International language of business. It's funny to imagine otherwise.
No.
NO or not anytime soon, btw Name one successful Spanish speaking country in North, Central and South America!!!!
Think this is like the NFL anything is possible
THERE WOULD BE A BILLION MAN WAR BEFORE THAT HAPPENED.
Not just no, but *ell no!
Well, considering that our leaders in both Houses of Congress are reluctant to make English the official language of our country and the fact that we cater to the non-English population by enabling them and not giving them any incentives to learn English, I would say we are heading towards the direction of say, some place like Canada. What I mean is that everything you see(street signs, advertising, etc.) no matter where you go in the United States will be in two, maybe more, languages.

It's just more proof that we are sinking as a great and unified nation. We have to be inclusive to everyone and their beliefs or we're being prejudice and politically incorrect. In fact, what's really scary, is that you might stand a better chance of getting free health-care benefits if you don't speak English and are not a tax payer. Yea, let's keep it up so we can give America away to anyone who decides to come on over and milk our system.
Not if i can help it. There will be another civil war in this country before that happens.
Not without a war.
ENGLISH. this country is english. why the hell should I have to learn spanish b/c they are trying to take my country over. I AM AN AMERICAN CITEZEN i shouldnt have to learn some different countrys langauge in my own american country
There have been lots of studies that second and third generation Americans speak less and less of their ancestor's language. Recent studies of Latinos confirm these studies within the Latino community as well. Frequently the grandchild of the Spanish-speaking immigrant learns Spanish in school just like all the other kids.
