Immigrant visa part 2?

we r living in U.k at the moment, we have our immigrant visa U.S which will expire in 22nd of february 2006, we plan going there before our visa expires and settle our green card and then after 2 -3 weeks go back to U.K .question is will we still be able to go back to u.k and stay for another 6 months and go back to U.S and settle there.

Answer:
Once you have the Green Card you can come and go as you please. However, if you leave the USA for more than a year, even with a Green Card, you have abandoned your status. As you are only envisaging six months, you should be OK. Are you sure, though, that your Green Card is going to come through quite so quickly? Mine took about nine months. A US Consular Officer sometimes posts here. Maybe she can help.
The U.S.A. is full now come after Visa expire
