Were East Berliners allowed to go anywhere within the Democratic Republic and vice-versa?
How did West Berliners move to the Federal Republic?
How did the migratory control work between the two governments?

Answer:
East Berliners could travel anywhere within the GDR. People from West Berlin traveled to the FRG by train. They were locked inside and the train did not stop. The only migration from East to West were the elderly who tended to be net consumers of government services. Nobody in his/her right mind migrated from West to East.
There are no borders anymore. Everyone can move everywhere.
If the wall was between Germany and Poland, Their illegals would probably been shot. To teach them a lesson
