What requirements is needed for Canadian pernament resident traveling to the U.S. for one day shopping?

I'm a Canadian pernament resident, I would like to travel to the U.S for one day shopping. I wonder what requirements or documentation do I need to have to cross the border. Is visa required?

Answer:
you need a valid passport
Bring your passport with the US visa and your identity card as a resident of Canada.
As of January, you now need a passport.
You definetely need a Passport and a Drivers License or State ID. But you have to have your Passport.
You shouldn't need a visa if you have a Canadian passport. If your passport is from a different country, then you may need a visa. Try this website:

You need a valid Passport.
You will need your passport. Depending on which country you're a citizen of, they may require you to get a visa, even though you're a PR of Canada.
Good Luck!
Take your passport and permanent resident papers to the border with you... you can get a one day pass there but you can't travel more than 20 miles into the USA from that pt.
You just need your passport, your ID for canadian resident and green card if you have one..
