How can an African American "go back" when his ancestors were brought here against their will hundreds of years ago? A black man in this country is much more American than he is African. How can I "go back" when my ancestors lived in what is now California for thousands of years before it was stolen by the Spanish and then America? America is a melting pot of different cultures and different issues, European American Men have controlled this melting pot for too long, other minoriites (including women of all races) have been subjected to their prejudices and it's time for a change.

If someone immigrated from Mexico in his lifetime, I'm sure he could go back. If an African American's ancestors were brought here as slaves 300 years ago, where would you propose he go? Africa is a very big continent.

Africans were sold into slavery by their own countrymen who gathered them from the villages, brought them to the ports, and auctioned them off to Dutch traders...White people did not go to Africa from the U.S. to capture them and bring them to the U.S. for slavery. And this all happened long before ANY of us or our recent ancestors were even born. Don't hate people today because of this!!!!
