I never even heard of him until now. As for the N word, either we all can say it without a problem or we all can't, including Blacks. It's either a bad word or it isn't. This double standard stuff just makes things worse.

Because that's how society is. It makes no sense to me why it's ok for an african american to say it, and not a white man. Same reason it's "ok" for a gay man to say "***" but not a straight man.

Because Carlos is deliberately not trying to be politically correct and everybody loves him for it (including me).
Ethnic humor has always been a source of great enjoyment in the USA (and other countries with a diverse population). Poking fun at others (and your own background) in a nice way, because we are all different, can be a great source of fun and joy. Anyone who takes offense should look in the mirror for the source of his or her problems.
A case in point. The "N" word? Are we now going to be afraid of words, too?
The problem is, that there are "grinches" who take themselves so seriously that they are offended by any thought which does not treat them with the "respect" they demand.
The real problem is that respect can never demanded. It is earned. Unless you can laugh at your own idiosyncracies, you are doomed to a world without tolerance. Those who talk about the wonderful things in a "diverse" culture also have to accept that our differences are also worth celebrating and laughing at.
Thank God for Carlos. He is a breath of fresh air, and his "disrespectful" comments about cultures (including his) should be welcomed by anybody who sees people as they are. Because, in the end, we are all a bit silly.
