If I am a US Citizen and I marry a EU Citizen, how long after we get married before I can get approved for EU Citizenship? Is this hard to get approved? Should we get married in the US or in Europe?

I don't think you get EU citizenship. You can be a citizen of a country that is in the EU and if you get a passport of one of those countries you won't need a visa to move about and restrict your movements as much. I would say the circumstances would depend on which country you wanted to become a citizen of.
