How much do these illegal Mexicans actually get paid that they can afford to live and also send money home?
Answer:
Any of you ever lived on the street?
have any of you actually known or worked with a gopup who try and help the street people. Let me tell you of one of my freiendds from southernmost part of mexico.
He was 14 when one morning he got up and just started walking north with less than 20 dollars equivelent in US from four months of working on a corporate farm and around 6 oz of coke he had stolen.
With twenty dollars he made it to Juares and got a job cleaning up slop buckets and baby sitting for the whores at 5 bucks a night plus tips.
He walked once again and never quit walking or hitch hiking until he hit Phoenix because he got and paid for a ride with another cuouple guys who ahd been here for a year and worked doing lawns pool claning and crap jobs to survive.
they got to Phoenix , sold the car, it was stolen, lived under a city overpass and when they had money bouth cans of soup and shared it and when they di not they raided 7/11 and restaruant dumpsters.
After making and saving around a hundred bucks he once again started wakling , sold his coke, In LA and bought bus tickets to Portland oregon for him and a friend. He made almost 40 dolalrs a day doing odd jobs around peoples homes and still lived under overpass for almost 6 months.
Finally he and some others got to live in a place with almost 20 other latinos. 2 bedrooms one toilet on a busline that went past Home Depot tye store where he got off and took odd jobs.
During all these times he said every time he got over 50 bucks in pockets he sent half home but in order to do so he had to go to money guys who charged him 5 to send twenty.. they were not latinos and in fact owned a check cashing enterprise.
they told him of someone who could get him a fake ID for 500 dolars. He saved enough and then got a job in a junk yard and recyle place, until he met a freidn who told him about a place in Kent Washington and that is when I got to know him.
he went to work every day made almost as much as I did then, met this fat white broad with three kids moved in with her and eventually married her. All this time still sending money home to madre y padre y hemanos.
Befreo he got job at my place he ived at an onverpas and met a womean who worked at 7/11 and instread of throwning food into dumpster at end of shift she wrapped it up for him and then placed in it.No roamnce just fine lady.
Trying to make some extra money he got busted selling mexcian grass, cheap crap and got busted by cops. Sent to jail and then back home.
Hope he makes it back this way again some day.
One of finest men I have ever worked with. loved life, quick to laugh and joke, Kind, gentle and good to family and fiends.
As the guitar man in Winn Dixie sang, "Not a bad man, just an unlucky man."
Do you realize how lucky your life has been?
Minnimum wage. Who says you can't live off 6 bucks an hour. If all your bills, food, clothing, and housing are paid you can!
I worked construction w/ 2 illegals each making about 24 an hour.
It's not a lot of money at all, in our terms. It's below minumum wage. But sadly, that's a shi--tload of money in terms of Mexico. It just shows how poor that country truly is.
Most of them have fake IDs so the can get legitimate jobs so they are making at least minimum wage usually better and they live several to a house spliting the expenses that's how they save up their money.
A lot of times less then half of minimum wage. too little to really support even one person on very well.
Many of them work "under the table". They get paid cash, no taxes taken out. They get free food, medical care, help with housing etc. In many of the families ALL of the adults work, mama, papa, aunts, uncles, grandpa...everybody. Then they live in a dilapidated house or apt and share what expenses they have.
why are u a turd rihhansu?
he stop hanging crap on them, if it weren't for them there would not be any nachos or tacos, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm guacamole sauce gimme gimme gimme speedy Gonzales is my favorite cartoon.

If you get 5-10 people to share expenses, live very lean, and work hard, you can make enough on low wages to send some home to your family, and maybe even save some for yourself. It is a hard life, but when they go home, life is better for them and their family because of it. But, in Mexico they often make less than $1 per hour, so the sacrifice is worth it for the difference. The tragedy is that because they are worse off the we are, they will do this and it costs many of us a job, and it makes all of us have to work for less money because of this kind of competition. Both the Mexicans and ourselves are being used and played by big corporations who profit from this downward spiral of wages caused by too many people willing to work cheap. That is why it is allowed, for the corporations own our politics, and we have allowed this to happen. And these same corporations and their banking friends have so decimated Mexico, even though they have oil, that the Mexicans are forced to come here for any money at all. It is time that working men and women on both sides of the border realized what is going on and put a stop to it, for the way things look it will only get worse for us all.
This gentlemen I worked with in Tucson had 2 jobs and his own business he did on the weekends. He would send his money back to Mexico City....He always looked burned out. They also split the rent amoung several families to save money.
