Why can't the U.S. have illegal immigration laws like other countries do without being accused of racism?
Answer:
Does it really matter that others think that there is racism when there is none?
As you point out, the system is set up for all races. Problems come up when there are people that think that they have the right to forgo following the laws and doing things the way that they want vs. the legal way.
No matter what the approach, because of the way that America has handled the situation - not to mention the double speak that has been a trademark of Bush when it comes to this topic - is it any wonder that they might get views that have nothing to do with the reality of the situation?
Till people understand that it has nothing to do with race - that it all has to do with following the law - there will be those that like to place all sorts of labels that have nothing to do with reality.
I see it all as part of a moral decay that has come into the thinking of this country. But then when you have an influx of people thinking that it is ok to break laws that don't suit them - is such shocking?
