Fatrm subsidies aren't going to end soon because the government isn't going to rely on foreign grown crops to the extent that they have oil. No wthat E85 is becoming a bigger deal, I fore see more farm subsidies for corn production in our near future.
Considering that more and more farm work is being done by machines (don't have to feed or house them as you do humans) - demand for people to do farm work is going down - or so the government says.
Genetically engineered corn will more than likely solve the problem anyway........
