During the immigraction interview?

I am just wondering what kinds of questions do immigraction ask doing the interview and do they interview the couple together or apart

Answer:
it can be from simply 2 -3 question to 20 minutes questioning time.
It depends on what sort of interview. As you mention the couple, are you applying for a green card as a spouse? If you are, you have the burden of proof, to show it is a legitimate marriage. It is not so much the questions as the documentation that shows you live together. Stuff like life insurance policies, is your partner the beneficiary? Utility bills in joint names. Do you have a house in both your names, wedding photos can be a good one. If you have a big wedding it is more likely to be genuine than a Justice of the Peace thing.
Which questions and how many questions are asked will depend on the examiner and how s/he feels about the validity of your marriage and the strength of your application. Some examiners will ask the basics and that's all, others will go through a fairly long list of questions. You will be asked some questions together, you may be questioned separately (although that's the exception, not the rule). The kinds of questions can range, but shouldn't be too tricky or embarrassing. Answer honestly and if you don't know, say so. If you are really married, you should do fine. Take your documents showing joint bills, etc. Take some photos, too.

Sample questions might include:
- when and where you met
- about your wedding
- about your family
- about your home (where is it, how big is it, where the bathroom is, which bedroom you sleep in)
- how you or your spouse travel to and from your home (what route do you follow from work)
- what you had for dinner last night
- who does the cooking/cleaning/shopping/etc.
In my experience - couple is together (but they CAN seperate). With us they asked normal questions, like how did we meet, how long we lived together, did i know his parents & did he know mine. Interview was pretty short. Dont be nervous! Just be sure you have everything with you. They DO ask for pics & cards you have given each other
