A few hundred whites were killed here an there, and that is supposed to justify the extinct tribes, and many thousands dead from the surviving tribes. LOL! Whatever.
Considering how many tribes are extinct, and knowing that many of those extinct tribe members were women and children, the words "innoncent white women and children were killed" are terrible, yet deserving for those times. There were no innocent adult whites back then, once they began to disrupt and threaten the old life of the native peoples, they took risks with their lives and their children's lives.
I wish the overall fatalities were balanced -- 50/50 as opposed to 90/10. The figures contributed to the Sioux are too low, wish there had been more, but we gave a good fight.
We warred with each other---but not until extinction. That did not occur until the whites came. It's unfortunate that some tribal chiefs saw the whites as an opportunity to take out their enemies, instead of seeing the whites as a greater threat. All tribes should have unified against the whites.
To answer the question: In the end, most of us were snuffed out by the US military. There isn't a history book published that can justify what the early US government did to the natives.
Whites today aren't blamed for it, but some whites today try to justify it with their small numbers of dead, or what tribes did to each other. It's adds insult to injury, which is the whole intent of posting the tripe in the first place.

Indian Casinos were started by white American investors. They make the majority of the money. There may be an few exceptions. Such as the Seminole tribe. I watched a documentary on 60 minutes about 2 0r 3 years ago.
There is always 2 sides to every story. One of the arguments on this site for the first settlers was there was no written law. Therefore they were not illegal. IF a person or persons are living on a piece of land before any law. I would strongly say that is their land and home. There was no need for a written law. When the white settlers came onto the land where the Indians were living they then became illegal aliens. Law or no law. Now i do agree the circumstances could be reversed.In most cases that was not what happened the Indians were living on land the white settlers wanted.

This is just a fraction of the slayings of many innocent european settlers and their families by native americans. The point is, history will tell you all of the native americans were poor, kind defensless peoples and that the white settler had murder on his mind before he ever left the ship. However murder worked both ways and the native americans were just as murderous and blood thirsty as the next vile human, you just have to dig a little deeper in the history books to find the truth, all the rest is just a bunch of political correctness bull.
Apparently the woman below me neither can count (there were THOUSANDS of INNOCENT WOMEN AND CHILDREN slaughtered and tortured) , but she also runs along the same lines as a holocaust denier. In the end whites are blamed for every piece of history written, we are blamed for crimes we did not commit ( there are few alive, if any, whom are guilty) by the minorities who suffered none of these atrocities ( there are few alive, if any, of the people who actually suffered) all in an attempt to get something for nothing.
