American say being here illegally is a crime right?

Ok so tell me this america, how many of you have run a red light, stole something from the store, took someones money with out asking or drank when you were underage or drove after just one beer because you felt fine, ever used an illegal drug, etc.etc.etc
Isnt all that a crime and illegal? should americans who have done that be thrown out of our country? a crime is a crime is a crime is all I hear you mexican bashers say, well if every time we did something we werent supposed to do I guess we'll throw you out of america say you dont deserve to be here or just make one big prison for you to rot in...

Answer:
Most of the answerers here are correct. But you are also. I think this whole illegal issue is just giving an excuse for people to bash mexicans and rant and rave racial slurs about them. But the fact of the matter is, yes, they are illegal and yes it is a crime. I wouldn't put it up there with shooting them-we need to kill the natural born killers in the U.S. first. But, they need to come here legally. They need to learn english. It's wonderful to be proud of the heritage and to speak Spanish-it's a beautiful language-but when you come into the states, English needs to be learned and also to adopt the American ways. Good luck chica!
You are right, many of us commit illegal acts. However, you are not letting the punishment fit the crime. You are seriously going to deport me because I ran a red light? No. I would get a ticket and pay a fine and get points put on my license. Just like if I stole money I would have to go to jail. So, the punishment for illegal aliens is for them to be deported.
Running a red light and being in a country illegally and not paying taxes are totally different. I am not one to complain about the jobs being taken, because they are not, they do the jobs other people don't want to do. However if I do run a red light or break some other law, and get caught, there is a punishment, jail, fines, probation. But I am a citizen of this country. Shall we spend more US tax dollars on prisons to hold the immigration law breakers? There are policies in place for citizens of other countries to be here legally. If they don't want to follow the policies of our country, why should we reward them with allowing them to stay?
the biggest difference is that we are protected under the constitution because we are american citizens, illegals are not, that is why they are called illegals. if all the illegals really wanted a better life they would stand up to their government instead of bitching about how we don't treat them right. and how do you think all the people who had to wait years to become legal residents feel about others who cheat to come here. plus we have enough criminals here without having to bring more in.
Your lack of intelligence is very apparent here. So which University in Mexico was it that you graduated valedictorian from?
"Our country"
That's the point. They're not part of "Our Country" because they came here illegally. They have their own country, that I'd fully expect to be thrown out of, if I (A.)Didn't belong there. and (B.) Didn't obey their laws. If they want to be a part of "Our Country", they should come here legally and become U.S. citizens like everyone else.
I gotta agree with Bashnick. There are reasons that people get deported. If you don't have paperwork on your vehicle, it's illegal to drive it. If you don't have paperwork on you, it's illegal to be here. It's not about Mexicans, or Pakistanies, or any particular person. It's just the Law, and like all other laws. Even the stupid ones we all break. If you get busted, you gotta pay up.
Sorry for your ignorance. To begin with, a person has to be legal to have any "rights" to make a decision as to the path he or she decides to take, being law abiding or lawbreaking. If you are here illegally, you have no choice as to your path but illegal. The law is the law, is the law, is the law. If I were in a country illegally, and had not pursued citizenship,I would probably keep my mouth shut,or go back where I came from to avoid the "bashing" that you speak of.What part of illegal is not clear?
silly rabbit Trix are for kids... i think ill go run another red light now, why because i can and i am ready to except the consequences for my actions... are you? there is such a thing as getting caught right?... get a grip lady before your head explodes like on that movie scanner's!...
Do the Mexican hat dance and take a chill pill will you?...
Hello reality here "Knock knock"... quick here comes the i.n.s better run while you can!
If I moved into a house that I didn't own, I would be forced to leave right? if I was trespassing on private property I would be taken off right? If I am some where I am not to be and I get caught I am forced to leave, but if a Mexican is caught some where they are not to be they should be allowed to stay? Dose that make any sense? Should they be held to a different standard than us? Should they be allowed to do something illegal and get away with it?
You're very delusional by saying that you want an American deported from their homeland for any crime they commit here at home in the US. Where is your intelligence or common sense with your remarks being made. If Americans break a crime in the US, they will go to jail HERE in the US. Anyone entering any country not just America, will be illegal for entering a country undocumented, you are just lucky its America that your boyfriend or whoever is in, try doing that in some other no nonsense Country, that don't depart, but beat and jail these illegals for breaking their entry laws, be thankful that this is America, and we are only saying get yourself or whoever legal...and stop whining
Trespassers should be shot....how's that? Works for Texas.
First of all I have nothing against Mexicans, and believe all prejudging based on religion or race is wrong. Let's say you break the law by going 100mph on the freeway. You get caught and they take your car and license away from you. They take it away so you wont do it again. Mexicans who come over to US do not come to just visit most of the time. They come for work, but they do not live in US. They don't pay taxes yet they are getting paid. To the government this is illegal, having a job but not paying taxes. So how do they prevent you from working in US when you don't live there? common sense, they kick you out. Illegal aliens have advantages over average lower class people. They pay taxes in Mexico for their job there but they don't pay taxes for the job they have in the US. Everyone is equal, but the Mexicans having two jobs and paying taxes only for one isn't the same for someone who lives in the US and pays taxes based on both jobs.
You are right on 2 issues. A crime is a crime and people do commit them. No one is above the law and we do enforce our laws. Punishments are handed down based on the crime committed. The punishment for being in the country illegally is deportation. Your argument is not only ridiculous, but weak. Americans have rights guaranteed to them under the Constitution. Take the legal avenue to become a citizen and you will enjoy the same rights. Choose to enter the country illegally and the only right you are entitled to is humane treatment. Further people are not bashing Mexicans, they are demanding that people who wish to live in this country obey the law.
U have a THIRD WORLD MENTALITY ! The criminals & the crimes are to be forgiven & swept away. Is that what ur are suggesting here ? Everyone should pay for his crime. If not the whole society would be trashed & we will become a third world country. If u speed, u pay the ticket. If u steal u go to jail. If u are illegal u get deported. THE LAW IS WHAT SEPARATE US HUMANS FROM ANIMALS & THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES !!! Get it ???
Living here as an immigrant is an ongoing crime on an entirely different level than everything you mentioned. When legal citizens commit crimes, they are held to the laws of a country where they legally belong - why would they be kicked out? If a citizen steals from a store he/she is reprimanded by paying fines, serving jail time, etc. If someone immigrates here illegally, why should they not pay the price by being sent back where they came from? To answer your question, no, Americans who commit crimes should not be thrown out of their countries, but yes, illegal immigrants should be thrown out of OUR country. There are perfectly legal ways to immigrate into the USA and no justifiable reason to do it illegally.
you're kidding us right? how many of the ones who ran a red light paid the fine? how many got a DUI for driving? people usually face the consequences for their crimes. in your case, your punishment fits the crime. nuff said. Go to mexico, we dont need u here either.
wow i almost gave up on hearing other Americans speak my thoughts, i think that illegals dont deserve to be Americans .u have to earn that privilege, our four fathers lived, blead and died for it. not sneaking over a fence and stealing someones SS number.Proximity doesn't make u an American just because Ur sucking up the same air. u work for it, u stand in line and u fill out dumb forms and make appointments, and calls and everything else that u have to do , u study and pass test and u pledge. u work for it u dont just get a job and "pass" off as belonging. not only do these criminals steal the right to be here they steal citizenship for their future children as well. they way the law goes if a drug dealer makes millions of dollars and then starts a business a regular business and makes money the gov will still come and take every penny the business, the money from the business and the drug money all of it. if its wrong to start no matter what the end its still UN earned and wrong.
Thats right. Everyone in the US is a criminal. And we are all immigrants. They should just leave us be.
When people get caught running red lights, they get a ticket. If an illegal alien is caught, then he/she needs to be deported. You are right, a lot of Americans commit crimes. But when they commit those crimes, they don't throw a protest asking for rights and wanting to be given amnesty.
Yeah, yeah, yeah...we're all a bunch of Mexican bashers. It's funny how if you're an illegal immigrant and get into trouble we send you back to wherever you came from but not before the Catholic Carities and The United Way setting up funds to help you. If you're an American and commit a crime in Mexico, you're going to be there for a while. Speaking of illegal immigrants commiting crimes in the US, read the links below.
First of all .not all illegal aliens are from Mexico .Second ,you cant equate a state law (speeding, running a red light ) to a federal
law against the unlawful entry into a country. If you are a legal American you cant get deported for running a red light, and you can if you are an illegal alien and are apprehended by ICE.

Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):

A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:

* assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or

* encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or

* knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.

And YOU personally cant throw any legal American out of their own country. You need to face reality and not the dream world you live in.
but they don't look at it like that. you know they are so perfect.......they do no wrong .........oh_hell
Very good points. Moreover, most the whites in this country have descended from illegal immigrants only. Chris Columbus himself was an illegal in this land of native Americans. White man also invaded and occupied part of Mexico and said it belonged to US.
In America there is a simple yet completely mis-understood (by you anyway) concept that punishment should fit the crime. A completely justified and moral punishment for illegally entering America is deportation. Your insistence of throwing Americans out their own country shows your lack of understanding of the law.
