Answer:
LEGAL immigration - great! No problem! This country was built because of immigrants, HOWEVER, ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS ARE DESTROYING THIS COUNTRY!
FACT: Illegal alien criminals cost the state of California BILLIONS each year for education and health care expenses.
FACT: Illegal alien criminals steal the social security numbers so that they can work.
FACT: illegal alien criminals take jobs from citizens.
FACT: ERs are forced to close because they can't afford to stay open - they can't turn away non-paying illegal aliens
FACT: teachers have to spend more time with the non-English speaking children which takes away instruction time with the English speaking children
FACT: Illegal alien criminals typically don't have auto insurance or they run away (because of their status) so when they have an accident it increases the rates for insured drivers
FACT: increased drugs due to the illegal alien criminals
FACT: Mexican gangs are on the rise (9 out of the top 10 really bad gangs in LA are Mexican gangs)
FACT: Illegal alien criminals are breaking our laws.
There is no opinion stated above. All facts are verifiable and well documented. WHAT PART OF ILLEGAL IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND!
everytime the immigration debate comes to mind i think about my state, which is California...As we all know we have the highest amount of immigrants both legal and illegal, but we also are one of the biggest economies of the WORLD, we couldn't do it without immigrants.
I am in favor of supporting our county's laws, and changing those laws if necessary to make them more in tune with the time. People who legally follow the rules to immigrate here are welcome.
I am against breaking our counties laws. People who break our countries laws either by coming here or by filling our jails by breaking other laws once they are here, are not welcome. I do not welcome habitual criminals to our country.
- : takes american jobs. +: people do it because they don't like their homeland
No opinions? I can't reflect on my life experience? Just raw data huh? how boring

ACHTUNG!!! NO OPINIONS!!!
I'm for proper English grammar. Does that count?
Immigration has been the cornerstone of our American culture from the start. The Colonies were settled by people immigrating from England in a time when freedom of religious choice, excessive taxation and persecution of individual beliefs were at its highest in Europe. Although it took many years for these things to begin to work themselfs out here in America, the whole reason for the Mayflower pilgrims to leave their native country and settle in new territory was for the same reasons that many immigrants leave and come here today. There are many advantages to immigration, not only for the immigrant, but also for America as well. However, with every good thing, there must also be some disadvantages.
Pros:
Immigration promotes diversity, which in turn leads to new ideas, new technology, and more religious choices.
It also promotes cultural growth, in mixing many of the traditions from many backgrounds into a nation wide agreement on things that are important to any growing civilization. Think of Christmas, not every one will celebrate it, but its traditions are definatly not out of one society. It is a blend of all the traditions of all the peoples who celebrate it in their own way. It is one time of year when the world comes together in some form on sycronocity.
It promotes allied patriotism. When we have people move en masse from other places, they come to hope for a better life. Their shear numbers may well be an automatic boone for our nations, as we are all protected (in some ways) under the same umbrella, we will not be so quick as to let America be threatened by outside sources. This point is also a double edge sword.
Cons:
In the beginning of the growth of this nation, immigration was essential. Few of us can claim complete native origins here. Most of us have our ancestors to thank for letting us live in this nation. Without the hardship of their choice to leave their native lands and come here, we ourselves would not be here. However, over time, our resources are dwindling, and mass immigration is eating away at any surplus that we have. We have less to share, and more people to share it with.
Another con is that as we are still growing, immigration doesn't always promote fairness. At times when our nation is threatened by another nation, we will automatically look at those who are already in our country to see if there is an inside threat. We become super vigilante and overly oppressive in the desire to ruduce the threat. (See point three in pros).
One may think the biggest disadvantage to immigration is the language barrier. This is something that we may never come to an aggreement on. This nation was lead to the English language as the main source of communication. When there are so many who come and aren't as eager to drop their native tongue in favor of one common tongue, we are well on our way to becoming a "Babel" nation. One may consider the communication barrier as the onset of trouble in other areas, as communication is paramount to finding out what every American needs, and how those needs are to be fulfilled on a fair and unbiased level.
Immigration is one key to our civilizations growth, and ability to stand against foes, but it does present real problems that must be dealt with in order to have a steady flow of diversity that doesn't overtake our nation. Think of it this way. We are the melting pot, with each group of people as an ingredient. The ingredients must be introduced in the right measure, at the right time, at the right flow, with this proper mixing, before it is melted and tempered to the correct consistency. If everything is dumped into the pot at once, it will only harden into a useless mass.
First let's get the facts straight- being against illegal alien invaders is NOT being anti-immigration! It's time certain people stop mixing the two. If you are from another country and want to come here, you are more than welcome as long as you follow the laws of immigration, whether you like them or not. When you get here, you assimilate into your new country's culture. Note: there is nothing wrong with maintaining your beliefs and traditions, but you do not expect me to conform to you. You learn your new country's mainstream language; you do not insist that we conform to yours. You learn your new country's laws and follow them, and that includes traffic laws. Do not hand me the garbage that the illegals are here doing the jobs Americans won't do. Fact: 2 years ago Denver Stapleton Airport had a round-up of illegal aliens and deported around 200. Within 48 hours, 90% of the vacated jobs were filled by US citizens. Fact: when I was in high school, I worked on a farm during the summer and after school. Today those jobs are no longer available for high school students due to illegal aliens. Fact: during a recent story on local TV, an illegal alien was interviewed concerning the push against illegal aliens. His comment, which had to be translated, was that he had been here 30 years illegally... My God, 30 years and he still couldn't speak English. When I was in the Navy 20 years ago, I could go into a foreign port for 3-5 days and pick up at least a little of the language, enough to get by. Ask Mexico what they do to the sneak-ins from Central America. They throw them in jail for 2 years and then deport them. I think I have stated enough facts to get my point across. But let me close with this. Just last week in my county, a man was driving eratically, almost hitting 2 people standing in their yard. When the police attempted to stop the driver, he sped off, tried to take a sharp curve at 70 mph, lost it and rolled over on a women in another car, killing her and her unborn child. The man was intoxicated, had only a Mexico driver's license (not valid here), and surprise, is an illegal alien. Had our government not allowed him in this country as is the law, the women would be alive and ready to give birth. Go tell her husband and family why illegals should be here.
