I'm married to an american citzen and how she wants divorce and doesn't want to give my greencard.?
Answer:
This is way complicated. You need an immigration attorney who is highly skilled in family-based cases. Generally, you get a GC upon applying after your marriage, but it is conditional for 2 years. After 2 years, you can apply to have the conditions removed. One basis for removing them is you show the marriage is continuing and is bona fide. There are other bases, like showing that the marriage was bona fide when entered but is in danger of dissolution through no fault of yours (abuse would fit under this, I think).
You might also consider an employment-based case if you can find an employer that would sponsor you. The basic process is the employer must get a certification from DOL that there are no qualified US workers available to do the job they are offering you (Labor Certification), then the employer tells USCIS that this is true and that they want to hire you (I-140 Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker). If USCIS says okay, you then file to adjust status to permanent resident (I-485).
appl y for one legally
FIGHT the divorce for TWO years then you are OK
Go home and wait in line like all the honest people. It's a privilage to be a US citizen, not a right.
don't marry to get a greencard, you are screwed! lmao
See ya! Thanks for visiting!
Go see a immigration lawyer and ask your options
talk with your US embassy.
Did you only marry her for citizenship??? Try getting your citizenship the legal way and for that you will have to figure it out.
Divorce can happen to anyone, but I'm afraid there are too many who marry only to get U.S. citizenship. Not only is it wrong, but it can be a big mistake. Risky business, as you have found out. I have to agree with the answer - apply legally.
go and file for it she has no choice in the matter if she married you in the usa its like being born in another country and then you have duel citizenship i believe so just go file for it before she divorces you
Technecially she got it for your, so she should keep it, but legally she cannot. Go apply for another one, and next time marry for love not for papers.
Good for her!!
Looks like she changed her mind about helping you get your green card illegally maybe it was the idea of the jail time she would get if found out.
Go back home make your country great like America. Then you don't need to come here at all stay home and enjoy your own freedom.Help make the whole world free, stop invading our country.
I don't believe you.
and why should she help with a green card? go home try a legal route
you can't get one, it's too late, you should have applied while you're married, it takes 3 years maybe 5 years
find another citzen to marry?
stick with this one?
