Is calling the citizens of the most productive nation on earth lazy right ?
Do you agree
Yes
No
Not Sure
Answer:
Of course we have higher expectations. It seems to me that we are becoming a more "corporate country." We are on a different level than most other countries. Lazy may not be the best term, since we DO outsource a lot of labor jobs. That is not because we are lazy, that is because other countries will do it cheaper and companies are smart enough to let it happen (not saying it is "right")
The one who said that we lack health care, benefits, ect...obviously you are not informed enough to make that statement. You will always find ONE case that proves your point, but it is not the norm here.
what country are you from...that would help get answers!
a lot of people are indeed living in poverty in the US - more so than in other industrialized nations. I do not think americans have higher expectations - on the contrary - they dont ask for much - vacations, healthcare - maternal care , childcare, all things other industrialized nations already have - are lacking. its a good thing - the us is so isolated and does not know what goes on in these other countries:-)))
yes
The fact that 4,000 illegal immigrants come into the US everyday to do the jobs that most Americans won't while the US still has millions on unemployment citizens just shows you how lazy SOME Americans have gotten.
Hahah, no way. It's dead wrong.
We're smarter. Higher GNP, GDP, and per capita income in the world. Lone Super Power.
We work SMART and hard.
Ask yourself this, who's more Lazy, Bill Gates who doesn't have many physical responsibilities at all or a homless bum in France that has to scrape and claw for every bite of food he gets?
I say the bum. I don't care if Bill Gates lays on his couch all day and reaches 400 lbs, he's not lazy, he's SMART and more productive than anyone else in the world.
$50 Billion says I'm right.
yes. we may have a productive economy, but our citizens just sit on their duffs and watch tv
You are only productive because of illegal Mexicans.
Some of the time , not sure with some people
We could be the most productive nation because we are the most automated. We do have a lot of poverty in or nation. Many children as well as adults don't have enough to eat or adequate clothes or housing. We also have a lot of people who live on unemployment and other social services, not because they can't find work, but because they don't want to find work. But I don't know that we are the laziest or even any lazier than other nations of similar economic status.
It is an incorrect generalization. If we are the most productive nation on earth, then it is obvious that not everyone is lazy.
There is nothing wrong with calling an individual "lazy" when they are in fact lazy. However, it makes the name-caller look silly or stupid when he or she incorrectly uses the word "lazy."
It doesn't make much sense to to call someone lazy because they demand more pay for their skills than another. Neither are they lazy because they use the force of government to get their way.
Lazy isn't the right word. False sense of entitlement is too long, and big-government addict is too vague. Perhaps no better (single) word exists to describe those who, as they put it, don't like the idea of illegals stealing "our" jobs.
How about lousy?
I do not know which country are you talking about. China is very productive. Be specific.
You gotta be kidding! You are not working because you don't want to. You would rather sit on your butt and let the taxpayer support you.
Higher expectations? HA! Now that's funny.
who really cares if it's right. it's simply an opinion, just like many of the other hateful opinions i read on this board.
and for what it's worth, i don't think we are lazy.... but we are snobby, entitled, and self centered. but again, that is just one opinion and it's nothing for anyone to get all pissy about.
