What are the jobs Americans won't do?
Every day that I pass by Home Depot or Lowes, there are immigrants getting picked up for work doing roofing, landscaping, house painting, plumbing, even auto repair. These are jobs Americans won't do?
There are Americans busting @ss on a daily basis laying road, digging ditches, sweeping floors, scrubbing toilets.
There are Americans working in adult video stores, mopping up some other guys spunk he left behind after jacking in a video booth.
There are Americans sifting through the garbage dumps, separating chicken intestines from needle syringes from poo-filled diapers from used razor blades.
That steak dinner you had last night with the mashed potatoes and corn on the side… After you’ve digested it, and flushed it down the toilet, what do you think happens to it? There is some poor Joe WAIST DEEP in… LORD ONLY KNOWS WHAT… making sure it all flows as it should, and not back up into your home.
And yes... Some Americans are even willing to *GASP* work in the fields picking crops.
So... What are the jobs Americans WON'T DO?

None. Whilst there are lazy natives in every country (including the USA) there are also many who are prepared to do whatever work is necessary to provide for their family.
It is about time this myth was exploded. What Americans are not prepared to do is work for wages which have declined in real terms since WWII. Since then, productivity has doubled and real wages have halved. So Americans are being asked to work four times harder than before the war.
EDIT:spazzhatesantis, If you paid someone $5 per hour to scrub your toilet, you'd be breaking the law. Therein lies the problem.
Do the math, 12 million illegal approx. 6% of the workforce, 4% unemployment.
And try to get that 4% to dig a ditch or make a bed at Motel 6 on a Sunday morning.

There aren't any jobs that Americans won't do. True Americans will do it all. This country was built on labor jobs. Americans want to do jobs and get paid accordingly to the specific job. Illegal immigrants are cutting the pay rate in half so they can do the job while leaving U.S. citizens in the unemployment line.
most homeless people I've seen/given money to are homeless because they do not want to work not because they can't get a job

When I was getting out of high school I was working at a gas station. Then one day my boss asked me to clean the bathroom. I handed him my shirt and said to get a Mexican to do it. Havent looked back since.
Let me first adress isaiahs_wifey. I'm a housekeeper and i've cleaned 3 toilets today(4 if you count a kitty litter box)for very little wages. I simply slip some gloves on my lilly white American hands and whistle while I work. Perhaps you're too lazy or feel you're too good to clean a toilet but most Americans don't share your attitude.
As for the original question,there is no job an American wont do. We did it before the invasion and we will do it after.

Nobody's first choice for a job would be scrubbing toilets. But hey, work's work wherever you can get it. Would I do it for minimum wage? Have done. Would I do it for less than that? No way. It's not my fault if someone's willing to sell themselves so cheaply.

legal americans will work in the septic business, as long as it pays them a livable wage.
I have been cleaning toilets for more than 40 years!I have never had anyone do anything around ou r home that I haven't done myself. If I could even afford a maid, I would probably get her some coffee and do the work for her. Americans are not lazy!
i live in michigan, and as many of you know, our economy is one of the worst of the 50 states. every american i know would do any job you give them right now. people in michigan are losing their houses because there are not enough jobs. and who ever made that comment earlier about people being on unemployment, well you dont live in michigan im sure so you do not know what it is like. my friend put in over 200 resumes/applications and received only one call back because there are too many people and not enough jobs here. if i were in that situation, which i might be shortly, i would do any job. listen people, bills still come whether you want them to or not. there is no shame in making a living no matter what way you HAVE to make it. you wanna pay me to shovel horse crap all day long, well i will be the best damn horse crap shoveler you have ever seen. so to those picky people out there who say "i would never work at mcdonalds" or "i would never work in a sewer" or whatever the case maybe, come to michigan and you will see, you dont have much of a choice, if you want to eat!
