i have worked with them, i have been pushed by them, and was told to fuk of, and Americans are trash. they didn't know what to do when i bucked up against them. they went crying to the supervisor, but failed to tell the boss what they did. thank god i had witnesses and they lost their jobs. about the taxes, they show their check stub and laugh in Americans face because they don't pay taxes. the only way they pay taxes is if they have false info. i know what i saw.

My children's schools are failing, overcrowded, on year round schedules, with historically 'standard' programs cut to fund ESL for children of those illegally here.
Since I will have to find a way to send them to private school in high school, when it just becomes too DANGEROUS to send them to the gang ridden public schools, and since that will come out of my retirement, I assure you this is something done to me.

I live in San Diego, and I know that a lot of illegals are good people (even if they do cross the border illegally). The real question is why will America not uphold it's own laws? We gave amnesty in 1986 on the condition that something would be done about the problem. We were supposed to have penalties for employers, and restrictions on social security and increased border controls. Basically, the same thing as the current bill. Now 21 years later we are handing out home loans, credit cards, cell phones, and welfare to anyone who is undocumented. It's not the illegal's fault that we won't do what we said we were going to do. We need to point the finger at ourselves and say "enough of our own antics." It's not the illegals who hop the border that are taking our taxes and shutting down our hospitals: it's US. If we're not careful we are going to become a nation with no national identity, not because of mexicans but because those of us who have been given this heritage, bought in blood by our ancestors, no longer care. We don't care anymore that men fought and died for us and for our freedoms and our opportunities. And we don't care that our history is one that continues to be one of sacrifice for those who would not take that heritage for granted. Anyone who says that illegal aliens are the problem should be forced to join the army, and then they can complain about people taking advantage of us. We need to appreciate what we have enough to protect it, and recognize the ultimate price that has been paid for us to sit around bitching about it. When we do that we will be smart enough to handle the problem here, and quit attacking the misguided illegals just for taking the million dollar bill that's been dangled in front of them for the last 20 years.

Local hospital closed down because of the influx of illegals that do not pay anything of their hospital bills. Closest hospital is now over 20 minutes away.
Illegals getting jobs where I work have had a massive negative impact in lowering wages. Jobs were applied for by citizens and not hired because of the ability to get cheap labor. Notice I didn't say that they were 'better', just that they were 'cheaper'. Working construction with a bunch of people that can't speak English, their 'Spanish' is mostly slang and most def. not what is taught when one goes to school, that can't read or write in either language is a MAJOR SAFETY problem that too many a company is willing to overlook in their quest to fill positions with a warm body vs. paying someone that knows what they are doing. Till one has experienced an oil refinery fire and not having people able to understand basic instructions - the nightmare that it makes is something that is hard to explain.
I don't know about you, but the thought that I might not be ever going home again from work because someone can't/won't speak English and can't follow simple instructions in that language in a country where the majority speak that language is a problem not only to me but my family as well.
