Why do Mexicans and pro amnesty still claim America took away land that belong to Mexico ?

Why want they indicate that 15 million dollars America paid for that land. With interest along it would take Mexico trillions of dollars to repay the money they took for the land. If they cannot do any good with the land they have now how will added land make things better for them ?

Answer:
They will tell you anything that will make themselves look good and the US look bad! Just like they call people racists if they are against illegal immigration. Makes no sense to me!!
because they did. read your history books
1804:The Spanish colony of California is divided into Alta ("upper") and Baja ("lower") California at the line separating the Franciscan missions in the north from the Dominican missions in the south.
1850: Alta California is annexed by the United States

The annexation of Texas by the United States in 1845 created a border dispute that would cause the Mexican-American War. This war resulted in the defeat of Mexico and as a result of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo (1848), Mexico lost one third of its surface area to the United States.
I think we named that land Texas...
yeah dude
we took california, nevada, arizona, new mexico, texas, etc and stuff
so um
yeah
It seems that you, like the Mexicans you speak of, also have a limited proficiency with the English language. What is your point?
READ IT AND WEEP MEXICO,YOUR GOVERNMENT HAS LIED TO YOU! Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo

The Mexican Cession (red) and the Gadsden Purchase (orange)The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was the peace treaty that ended the Mexican-American War (1846–1848). The treaty provided for the Mexican Cession, in which Mexico ceded 1.36 million km² (525,000 square miles) to the United States in exchange for USD$15 million. The United States also agreed to take over $3.25 million in debts Mexico owed to American citizens.

The cession included parts of the modern-day U.S. states of Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and Wyoming, as well as the whole of California, Nevada, and Utah. The remaining parts of what are today the states of Arizona and New Mexico were later ceded under the 1853 Gadsden Purchase.

The treaty was signed by Nicholas Trist on behalf of the United States and Luis G. Cuevas, Bernardo Couto and Miguel Atristain as plenipotentiary representatives of Mexico on February 2, 1848, at the main altar of the old Cathedral of Guadalupe at Villa Hidalgo (today Gustavo A. Madero, D.F.), slightly north of Mexico City. It was subsequently ratified by the United States Senate on March 10, 1848 and by the Mexican government on May 19, 1848; the countries' ratifications were duly exchanged on May 30, 1848, at the city of Santiago de Querétaro. However, the version of the treaty ratified by the United States Senate eliminated Article 10, which stated that the U.S. government would honor and guarantee all land grants awarded in lands ceded to the United States to citizens of Spain and Mexico by those respective governments. Article 8 guaranteed that Mexicans who remained more than one year in the ceded lands would automatically become full-fledged American citizens (or they could declare their intention of remaining Mexican citizens); however, this Article was effectively weakened by Article 9, written into the treaty by the U.S. Senate, which stated that Mexican citizens would "be admitted at the proper time (to be judged of by the Congress of the United States).
I love the US but we've done some truly horrible things to many peoples, then we write the history books to make it seem like american agression was warranted.

Basically we put ourselves in the position were we can bully a weaker foe, then force them into what we want. Later we can claim that we didn't steal anything, we got it fair and square.
Because its the truth at least part of it . The United States did pay for portions of Mexican land. The United States annexed Texas. The Interest part well ..... that is not true.
This land belonged to someone else before mexico stole it!
who give a shet, only difrence we get back for free
They lost a war, and are only now getting around to noticing? Wow! Wait until they notice that they are poor and their government is corrupt too! They might get up the enrgy to revolt!

Google "treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo."

Indeed read your history, and you'll see that we were actually invited to fight by the Mexican resistance. The land that we gained didn't displace the Mexicans - the Mexicans that lived there were granted full property rights, citizenships and constitutional protections.
Exactly!God Bless ya man!
mexico stole it FIRST!!
It NEVER belonged to mexico to begin with!

Not ONLY did we kick their @ss, we could have just TAKEN the land without giving them a penny for it!!! But, we didn't. The U.S. paid mexico MILLIONS for this land!! Which even today, is a lot of money!
And, how many more BILLIONS has mexico cost us with their ILLEGALS and all the money they still owe us??? I remember when Clinton was in office he gave mexico $40BILLION dollars!!!!
It was supposed to be a "loan", but Clinton told Fox, "it's ok you don't have to pay it back"!!!! (i wonder how much of that went into HIS bank account)

Our forefathers hard work made this land what it is today, and we will NOT give it up without a fight!!
mexico would have just screwd it up anyways like they did THEIR country!
Mexicans think whatever they want they are suppose to get it. I heard rumors Mexico wants no bid contracts for services related to the war in Iraq.
The English stole ALL the land that we now know as North America.
OK, so lets assume for the sake of argument that we stole the land or tricked them or bullied them into giving it to us over one hundred and fifty years ago. INone of these people want the land to actually be returned to Mexico. They want it to remain US territory, where there are jobs, opportunities, freedom from corruption and narco traffickers. If they got all the land back, they'd just keep travelling north till they got to the US.
If they really stopped to think about it they would realize how idiotic that statement is.
You are absolutely right. It has nothing to do with the land and has everything to do with what hardworking Americans did with it.
The real history is this. Spain granted the land to Mexico . It was not their land to grant. It still belonged to the Indians.
Mexico sold the land to the US, land which was not theirs. Mexico never took the land from the Indians. The only thing Mexico sold to the US was the right to take the land from the Indians...something they had not been able to do.
The real truth is the US took this land from the Indians, not the mexicans.
1. Only a small group of people truly believe that Mexico needs it's land back.

2. History is often changed for the benefit of the U.S.

3. "illegals" are not leaving without a fight.

4. Mexico was NOT stolen by Mexicans as most Mexicans were at least half Aztec so the land belonged to them.

5. Your founding fathers weren't that great (they were racist slave owners and therefore hypocrites).
They don't. Why do you keep posting these questions that infer that all Mexicans and all pro amnesty people (not true in my case) think exactly alike? That is the height of ignorance child.
Denial. Mexicans didn't exist before the Spaniards arrived. Spain stole the land from American Indians, and gave it to their mestizo offspring the Mexicans who lost it to the other whites the British. I don't know why the British paid for the land, they could have just taken all of Mexico and put the mestizos on reservations along with the Mexican Indians.
I just read about this.

The U.S. wanted part of Mexico and offered money but Mexico refused. The U.S. then attacked Mexico when Mexico was already involved in another war. Weak because of their other war, Mexico was basically defeated and the U.S. practically forced Mexico to "sell" their land at a much much lower price. The U.S. bought the land for a lot less then was previously offered. They did steal it if you think about it. Oh and then they changed the location of the border, making it farther down Mexico than it was originally.
. The way that deal went down is because the USA threaten the Mexican president at that time to kill his family and that's how they got him to sign away the land. And whats your point that has nothing to do with immigration. But you know what when Americans say WE WERE HERE FIRST they are lying
watss japenin cubanito! A poco te dan envidia los Mexicans? LOL
The reason why Mexico has some of the economic difficulty it does and did is because of the land we took. We toook the parts that were worth having and left them with non arable land. We took land under what Polk called manifest destiny in fact they felt it their duty under God to rule all of this continent and that whites were superior to all races...hack what crap they believed and you still buy it hook, line, and sinker. No wonder we are the most hated nation on earth we never even can admit that we are wrong.
it's not so much the land they want. it's also the American money they want. they think if they run Americans out of this country they can keep it going. no, they wont be able to. it will be just like Mexico.
