To those who say "I'm ok with illegal immigrants as long as they don't commit crimes," They are here ILLEGALLY! Just the fact that they are here is a CRIME.
It doesn't matter where they come from. Mexico, Canada, Germany, or friggin' Narnia! The issue is BORDER CONTROL. I would love to see any supporter of illegal immigration try to sneak into another country and demand work. See what happens.
Hell... Cross the border into Mexico and demand government supplied benefits. Think you'll get them? No! Why? You'd be an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT!
And wait... You'd get your papers if the government didn't make it so hard? Your complaint is that you have to WORK for it and actually PUT IN THE EFFORT to become a citizen?
That's not exactly a compelling argument. Others do it on a regular basis. Why shouldn't YOU?

Because they dominate many important sectors of the U.S. economy and the economy depends on this labor. Why not do it legally? Legalize those that are here for good reasons, not those here to commit real crimes, and to filter out terrorists. If people pay their fines and background checks, and pass those requirements, they should be allowed to stay.

I met an illegal immigrant at a job I had 6 years ago. We fell in love and since then have moved in together and have 3 children. I know many, many illegal immigrants. They are not looking to take anything from us as American citizens, only to better their quality of life. Is that so wrong? If we hadn't the opportunities that exist in this country, who knows what we might do or where we might go to acheive that. I don't think it matters where the illegal immigrant comes from. If they are here it is becuase they do not have the chance in their home country to have the kind of life they want for themselves and their families.
I am not in favor of illegal immigration. I can tell you how to get these illegals to voluntarily pack-up and go home: If welfare America would just take the jobs that are held by illegal America, then there would be no need for any of these people here. When no job in the food/agriculture industry or the janitorial industry or residential construction industry etc, etc, etc...would go looking to be filled by an illegal, these displaced people would have to return to their home country. But since we have too many welfare families receiving government freebies and NOT working in these kind of jobs, there is just too much work for illegals. When have you heard some politician mention this? They won't because welfare America votes and our elected officials have bought them with food stamps and free housing and all kinds of freebies.

The Majority are looking to better their lives and their families. They are not all murderers and rapists. Legal immigrants and citizens kill and rape too.
beacuase when your living on a dollar wage and you cant afford food or a decent house and you are sharing your house with 12 other people who also are like you, what do you do? you go risk your life to cross the border find a an available job and send the money home so youre family cvan have food on the table and a roof over thier heads...
you dont realize that people risks their lives to be here but then they run you like a rat in your house...

Illegals are hated on both sides of the border by white people.Just because they have brown skin and live in poverty.. They are here because of white Mexicans that do not take the responsibilty of caring for their poverty.They deserve a break.I guess it is easier to hate.. I realize not all white people hate them.
Because everyone should receive an equal oppurtunity for a better life, just imagine if you were in their shoes and the whole situation was flipped.

First of all, I do, and everyone needs to understand that 12 million immmgrants will not be deported because it's a FACT. And they can't remain illegal anymore. Enforcing the laws will not happen, so what esle is there to do with all these people? making them legal solves that problem.
