Don't you believe that the US Authorities should be looking for Pedro Guzman, a US Citizen who they deported?
People are so caught up in this anti-immigrant fervor that this kind of thing happens. This is what happens when you don't think logically. A US Citizen, deported to Mexico and now Mexican authorities and his mother are looking for him. As a citizen of the US, the government bears a great responsibility for this horrendous mistake. The authorities forced him to sign a document which was untrue. They could have checked his records but they did not.
This kind of thing makes me sick to my stomach.
What if your son was taken and deported to Russia, Ireland, Italy, or where ever your heritage lies, just because they decided to screw with him because of his mental disability? How would you feel?
Answer:
I have a brother who is mentally handicapped. Yes he signed the paper but I bet he had no idea what he was signing. My brother would probably sign anything they handed him. He told them he was born in California. They should have done better record checking. It makes me sick that they are claiming they are not responsible for this.
I think that they should do everything they can to get this guy back home. I feel for his family. I know I would be going crazy if my brother was out somewhere on his own. Hopefully the Mexican governement can help find him but it really should mostly fall to the US since we were the one's who improperly deported him. When I read this story I was almost in tears to think of someone like my brother out on his own like that. I really hope he is found safe.
To all the losers that say this guy deserved it don't you guys have any heart and remember we were all immigrants at some point.
Well it really isn't the Department of Homeland Security's fault...he told them he was illegal, so they did what they had to do...it is sad, but it is his fault...or his families fault...
I would feel horrible of course, but, if we were not experiencing this illegal invasion, maybe this would not have happened.
Why don't all those fine upstanding Mexican people look for him so he can be returned?
This looks like a job that Americans just won't do.
I'd also like to point out that even if he "might" be legal as a anchor baby he still has no ethical right as a citizen in my mind. He's back in his true country.

They already know where he is. Last week, someone saw him and Bush playing golf in Austin.
