How many Latinos live in America?
What is the total population..illegal and Legal. I know that Latinos are the largest ethnic minority in America.
Answer:
I'm beginning to think they all live here, and none of them seem happy to be here. Is there actually a fence at the border?
See the website below for some actual numbers. I think you will find it enlightening.
2 many!
That seems unlikely for the number of ILLEGAL latinos - latinos are thought to make up 12-13% of the 280 million population total. Of course it's difficult to know the number illegal people here - they don't tend to make themselves known!
Latinos are now the largest minority group - surpassing African-americans in the most recent census.
I think there are many latinos
Too many, time to ship them out.
There are 40 Million Latinos according to census data not 40 Million illegal so you must have misheard. Depending on which estimate you beleive there are from 8 -- 30 million illegals in the country. For arguements sake take 20 million as a probable number -- 90% of them are from Latin America -- 18 Million.
I don't think the census data includes illegals -- so this could mean there are actually closer to 60 million latinos in the US.
Anyway the numbers seems to be quite debatable even according to the antiimmigrant source I found
PS The US population is 300 million. The latinos here in New York CIty seem pretty happy to be here.
dinodino's numebers example is about right from everything I have read. And out of that about 12-13 million of the illegals are from Mexico which is about 10% of the population of Mexico is in the USA illegally.
tooooooooooo many, that's for sure
I hope you mean the ILLEGAL Latinos. The legal ones are hard working Americans just like anyone else.

I seriously doubt it. Even the Republicans, who would exaggerate numbers upwards to justify their ideas (that illegals are here in huge numbers and need to be dealt with) only say 12 million illegal immigrants (Mexican and otherwise) and 20 million immigrants overall (legal and illegal, Mexican or other nationality).
Based on that estimate (using Republican numbers), illegal immigrants make up 4% of total population (12 million divided by 300 million total population of America) and immigrant population overall only makes up 6% (20 million divided by 300 million total population of America). We are hardly being overrun with immigrants.
For the record, Latinos are the largest minority ethnic group with 16% of the total population. Whites come in first overall with 68% of the total population. Blacks come in at 14%.
And I may be wrong, but the phrasing of your question suggests that you believe if they are of Hispanic descent and in America, they are immigrants (whether legal or illegal). Over half of Latinos in America are natural-born Americans. That means born in America to parents who were born citizens of America, such as myself.
it seems like there are 100 million latrinos here.
