Would you agree?
Answer:
Yes he should and people liek this should be given special consideration....Don Jaun crossing the border right now should not though.
If what you say is true.......I agree that he should get some assistance in becomming a citizen
I think so. He's a special case. He had no choice when he was 3.
I hope he gets it. Good luck.
Seems to make sense.
Once he is a citizen there should be a proviso that anyone who is associated with bringing him here illegaly, should they wish to become citizens (Mom and Dad?) need to pay a fine and follow normal citizenship standards.
No sense or justice in punishing an innocent. But the parents are not innocent and should no gain entry without paying some kind of penalty. To do otherwise will cause/create a standard for others to follow to denegrate the legal system.
Yes, I believe such cases should be treated differently.
I also know a UK citizen who was brought here at the age of 7. Her mom never ever bothered to adjust her status. She's now over 21 and very illegal! You can't tell though because she looks and talks like any other American. But she can't travel outside or change her DL.....it's a "toughish"
To answer Brooklynn down there; Immigration has records for whoever enters legally only. So they can proof through that. If they snuck in with out inspection, thats a tough one too.....but school records can be used to proof it.
My husband grew up here too so i know exactly where you're coming from!
yes.
yes, but how would the government prove who deserves this amnesty and who came over knowing full-well that they are breaking the law?
it's a nice idea, though...
needs some more thought on the selection type of who earns this amnesty and such...
For that precise situation? Yes if we stopped the problem going forwards. Unfortunately, the 12 years of paid for education and adjustment of status he received would inspire many more to put their own 'innocent' children in the same situation.
We need to actually stop the problem.
Most definitely. I would agree that amnesty should be granted to people in these cases but definitely not to just anybody here who is here illegally at the moment.
I agree that every case is difrent, but you can not make one thousand,or maybe one milion diferent laws because of that.
To end they are illegal immigrants, and I think that whole America must first think about that.
Sorry but no I don't agree..
Your b/f is just one of the innocents that are frequently
caught in the web of crimes committed by others...
The necessary wholesale deportation of illegals will
take some illegal innocents like your b/f...
