Does Mexico celebrate July 4th, our Independence, Veterans days?

Answer:
No.....they aren't their holidays. I guess they aren't as concerned about the wonders of "cultural diversity" as we apparently have to be. I don't mind celebrating others cultural holidays but it get's crazy when it's a whole month, every other month and now they're expecting school to close, paid "holidays" for those events, massive parades and all the rest.......I love holidays as much as the rest ...but put a cap on it.....I was lucky I ever got a Thanksgiving , or any of the American holidays off and I've been suck working through the majority of my Christian holidays for years. When do I actually get to attend any of my cultural functions? Gets a little old that I'm stuck working Christmas so a non-christian can rest-up for the big after holiday sales they want to cash in on.
The immigrants to the US do--certainly as many of them as do citizens born in the US. And in Texas we celebrate Cinquo de Mayo. Why do you ask?
No. Believe it or not, the entire world doesn't celebrate American holidays......only Americans.
noup, they dont
Mexican Independence Day is on Cinco de Mayo, the 5th of May.
No, but here in Texas they do celebrate Cinco de Mayo, which makes me wonder why they are even in Texas if Mexico is great enough to celebrate...
In the US they sure do!

Also cinco de mayo on May 5th etc etc
No. The also do not celebrate the 4th of July in Britain, what a shocker! However, in the Soviet Union, they used to celebrate Red Army Day in February every year! Those commies!
no
NO, and neither the rest of the world for that matter, and cinco de mayo is not independence day in mexico, it's sep 16th, stupid!
No they don't.

And if you're wondering why some USA states celebrate de cinco de mayo, is because Mexico defeated the great french army that attempted to invade Mexico.

No, the cinco de mayo is not Mexico's independence day, that would be September 16
Mexican citizens living in Mexico dont celebrate OUR holidays, but they do celebrate their Independence on September 16th. On that day in 1810, they became a free nation. On the other hand, Cinco de Mayo, or 5th of May, is used to celebrate Mexico again. These holidays are NOT the same, so please don't get them confused!
No, they do not celebrate our independence or our memorial day Thanksgiving or Veterans day. These are holidays to memorialize events in the United States.

Am sure they do not mind taking the day off though. However one should not judge a whole group by the actions of some.
There are many Latinos, legal and illegal, serving in our military.
No they celebrate Cinco de Mayo or Mexican Independence Day.
No. But here we do. Cinco de Mayo is just another reason Americans have to go out and get drunk, just like St. Patrick's Day, Chinese New Year. We want any excuse to party!!!! But Cinco de Mayo is not the date of Mexico's independance, it's Sept. 16th.

Why do you care if they celebrate our Holidays?
no they don't those holidays are none of theirs. at least in the town i live in they don't. that's a day with out them being in the way.
not in mexico they don't, only the mexicans that are in USA do
that's because we have tons of mexicans and other hispanic americans living in the US. in places like san miguel de allende...yes, they do have special celebrations for US holidays, because many people from the US do live there. i attended a very nice Thanksgiving party, as well as a 4th of july celebration, with fireworks. i grew up in the northwest of the US and there we do not have many mexicans, or any hispanics for that matter, and we do not celebrate these mexican holidays. so it all depends on where you are from.

not to mention....many people from the US like to celebrate other holidays that they feel involve drinking and a good time (ie everyone is irish on st. patty's day) so i seriously doubt we have a problem with it.
