I'm fed up of the ignorant/racist comments on here?
not every single person who isn't english(or american) want to come into the country to live on our benefits and all the other bullsh*t you lot are typing. not every single person who wants to marry an english person is a con artist who is only marrying so they can come to this country.
and this country isn't as "cramped" with immigrants as you probly think it is. you just belive whatever you read in the newspapers and see on the tv. and if you actually knew anyone who was trying to come over here you would realise it isn't as easy as you think. it's a long and very stressful time.

whilst i have concerns about immigration to the UK i do find many comments on this issue offencive and blatantly racial to the point that i have reported answers on a number of occasions . It is making it very difficult to have an open debate or to answer questions on this issues due to a few idiots on this site

Really if you still let stuff like this get to you I fear for your blood pressure. People can be mean and ignorant. It doesnt help to rant and rave about it. Instead, the good people in this world really need to do positive things to overcome all the negativity.

Well said. This is however a public forum and it is therefore inevitable that views will be different...sometimes violently so.
Try not to get too upset by what you read here. What people like us write annoys others too!

You're right. The stereotyping of other cultures is pathetic and based on ignorance. And when it comes to "immigrants," you might want to check out the enormous numbers of Americans who are living in other countries, not because their employer stationed them there. Most of them are there because after working their ***s off here, they could not afford to retire in their own country. So before shooting off your mouth about "immigrants," be darn sure you won't one day have to choose between being one yourself -elsewhere - and living in poverty at home.
Welll said about time someone stood up and be counted. However, do not be surptised if someone reports you for chatting rather than asking or answering questions.
I know when I saw the immigrants in France last week trying to hop on train and lorries to get to the UK my heart bled for them. What cruel world we live in, Compassion is fading quickly I fear. Though it's not out of hatred but fear of loosing the British way of life.
So there must be understanding on both sides...that's how see it anyhow..

On reflection are you really surprised about the racist comments you get on here. At least people are allowed to speak what they feel without fear of violent reprisals. Maybe YA is the only medium available to us now as the media are all so egotistical these days and they just play a game of one upmanship with each other.

You are right in one point, we are ignorant, but we just believe what we are told to believe!
No question, so I can only whole-heartedly agree! Partly the problem is people believe rubbish they see in the papers, but more it's that people want to believe that there's an invasion going on, or that they're being terribly brave if they have Christmas lights or whatever. That's why the papers are full of that cr@p - because some people like to be able to blame others for their sad lives!
(My life must be pretty sad, that's why I'm on YA, but at least I don't blame anyone else for it!!!!)
Britain doesn't have the physical resources to accomodate the needs of every immigrant who's just had a long stressful journey. I suggest a more radical solution is to remove the reasons why they are leaving their countries of birth. I am all for toppling corrupt governments and reforming failing societies abroad by whatever means is necessary.

I totally agree with what you said. There are awful people in this forum that just use it to say racist comments and hateful things. They're entitled to say what they believe as are we. I think that it shows their ignorance and upbringing as a child. Apparently their parents weren't good ones.
