I'm 18 and i got kicked out but i'm still going through immigration.my mom will take her off her form as of saturday.should i marry an american just to stay here.does she need to give me my passport back or can she refuse it?thank you.if you know anythinmg that could help please feel free to tell me.Jenny thank you so much everyone.

Answer:
First, she cannot hold your passport...that is not legal. Second if she is here illegally you need to just go get your passport from her...

If you want to stay, work on your on form and forget about hers...but don't get married just to stay...marry someone you want to stay with...not a conveinance marriage.
What did you do to get kicked out
You passport is your ID not her's. She has to give it to you or she can get in trouble with Immigration. Marrying just to stay can work but isn't really a good reason to marry.
Where are you originally from? You must have been bad for your mom to kick you out...Anyho, in your situation I'd kiss my mom's a s s until all the immigration processes are completed. It's going to cost you alot to file by yourself even through marrying a citizen. It does not guarantee anything marrying one.
