I heard there are racists on MyTend. So please do not give racist remarks. I am engaged to a british lady to get married soon. The problem is that I'm an overstayer in the UK for genuine reasons. I intend to go back to my country in Africa but I think this would affect our spouse visa application when we do get married. Besides this takes at least 3 months. We don't want to spent that much time apart from each other. It's really difficult but we love each other. Does anybody have any suggestions or help in anyway?

I suggest visiting/contacting Lunar house in London, this is where my wife and I had to go when we wanted to marry as my wife is not British.
If my info is correct then if you put in for a visa, they cannot tell you to leave the country until a decision has been made on your visa, one way or another.
I admit it may not help your cause that you have overstayed your visa but I do know people that have done this and provided a valid reason and still been able to stay.
