Should a law be passed to stop the Mexican Flag being flown at homes in the United States?
Answer:
No other flag should be flow alone, without the American Flag flown as well. I can understand if it's an ethnic occation. Or if it's at an ethnic restaurant. But not more prominant than the American Flag.

I agree with you. This is the United States of America, not Mexico. Though I would not find the Mexican Flag flown offensive, but the U.S. Flag should always come first then the foreign flag.
No there should be no such law. I live in a foreign country and see American flags flying all the time. I also see Italian, Russian, German and during hockey season, plenty of Canadian flags. There's also the occasional Union Jack. And the nice rainbow flags with PEACE written on them. Those are the nicest of all of them.

No. I don't want to abridge freedom of speech.
However, since I am free to dislike people who offensively fly their flag here, it is probably not in their best interest to fly it.
For me, it is only offensive if it is flown OVER the American flag or otherwise is used to put OUR flag down. I don't see anything wrong with someone loving their country.

What if they are legal residents and are homesick? If you lived a few years overseas, and lived near some other Americans, mightent you be tempted to fly the American flag on the 4th of July, etc (assuming it were legal there)? I want them to treat our flag with respect, but I think the whole world could love their own countries and respect everyone else's, and it would only be a better place.
I do know that in some areas flying a flag is tantamount to flying it over the American flag in the minds of those flying it. I just think it is a very slippery slope to have laws against freedom of expression and that is NOT a freedom I am willing to lose.
What about Italian-Americans who fly the Italian flag, or the Irish? Los Angeles used to be Mexico by the way, thats why the name is spanish, shoudl we change that to english too? along with Las vegas and San Jose? Please get over yourself.

No. You see flags everywhere representing all the different cultures this nation holds. If you stop the mexican flag from being raised in homes, then you'd need to stop every other flag from every other country and how is that fair??
As soon as the thousands of USA flags are removed from foreign countries . . . they can start removing the other flags in the US .
