I currerently am under citizintion through an E1 Visa, can I work for another company?

Like working anywhere in general, does it allow me to obtain a working permit??

Answer:
The company that hired you file a petition for you to work in the U.S. This company is telling the government that you will be working for them. If you get laid off or get fire you have to go back to your home country. you cannot work for someone else or another company. The E visa only allows you to work for the company the file the petition. If you work for another company you will be in violation of Immigration law and will be subject to deportation. If you get deported I will assure you that you will not be able to obtain any type of visa to come in the U.S.
