I have got an approved petition and have been waiting for a visa number for a couple of years. My category (EB-3)has recently become current.I do not know when i might be called for my interview.

USCIS has been eliminating backlogs this last week.
Just last week, they eliminated the backlog on a couple of visa categories.
I think it would not be long soon since they are speeding up the whole process.
So wait it out, and good luck.
I think they are busy dealing with the illegals here, it might take a wile.
Yes, I must agree with Ray. If this bill gets passed then it will take longer for you because you are doing it the legal way. I do wish you luck in becoming a legal US citizen, keep us informed please.
