Are American Samoans subject to any travel restrictions when going to the fifty states?
(However, the US national non-citizen passport is the same in appearance as the US citizen passport, is it not?)
Question: Are persons with this "US national status" subject to any restrictions if they want to visit the US fifty states?
Suppose some American Samoans organized a one-month tour group to the continental USA. After buying their airplane tickets, would they have to obtain any "visa" or other "permission sticker" to go to the continental USA? or be subject to other restrictions by US Customs & Border Protection?
Or are American Samoans subject to a limitation on how much time they can stay in the continental USA without some special permission? My friend and I would be interested in all relevant details.
As this is for a university research project, any internet URLs you could provide with full explanations of relevant "legal details" would be much appreciated.
Answer:
No, American Somoa like Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States. Like all Puerto Ricans they face NO travel restrictions in ANY state whatsoever. They ARE NOT illegals.
