Answer:
Laurel Scott is an immigration attorney who specializes in waivers especially for those from Mexico. You can have a read of her site linked below. She also has a chat where you can ask her questions. You really do need to get some legal advice from a competent immigration attorney specializing in your area. I have been a part of a well known immigration forum for a couple of years and Laurel Scott comes very highly recommended. You may also like to have a look at the second link. It is a new immigration forum containing a lot of resources and knowledgeable members that you many find very beneficial.
If you are an American citizen you should Marry him first then it just takes as little as 6 months for him to get his green card that is the fastest way

Try this web. hmmm.... Your husband has to apply for the green card....that is all he needs to do!!
Sorry but if he is here illegally, kiss him good bye and have him start the paperwork LEGALLY in Mexico. He can't get a green card if he is currently breaking the law (BEING HERE).
noooooooooooooooooooooooooo...... more, we have enough!!!
why dont you call immigration at 1800-375-5283 and they will send you the form
If he is from Juarez (whick I know way too well, bad town) and your from San Diego and you have been living like this for 16 years, then why the rush????? If he is really in Juarez, which I doubt, then you need to adjust his status, so go to the nearest INS offce and start the paper trail.
Well shame on you!!! You have been letting this man live illegally in our country with you for 16 years. Here's an idea. How about you go with him to his country trader!!!
If you guys live in the states, he needs to file the petition for Adjustment of Status(AOS). You can get more detailed information at the US Citizenship and Immigration Services website: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/m...

And also go to VisaJourney. Com to get more useful information about it:http://visajourney.com/forums/index.php?...

By the way, the processing time varies from one immigration office to another. So I can't really tell you how long it will take him to get his green card. But if he didn't enter the US illegally, he might be able to get it within a year or so.

Anyway, check those two websites and read the instructions carefully. And if you have more questions, post them on VisaJourney.Com which is better than this website.
Why don't you take the kids and go back to his homeland and apply for citizenship.
As long as there has never been a deportation order against him, you should be fine, even if he's been living in the U.S. illegally.

However, if he has been here illegally, you should get an attorney, b/c if you mess up the filing, he will be in the system, and after rejecting the petition for incorrect filing they may attempt to deport him.
