Does the government realize that they (for the most part) cause illegal immigration?

I am currently sponsoring my fiance's application for a K1 visa. We have spent a lot of money, waited for over a year and a half, jumped through numerous hoops, and we are still waiting for a "yes" or a "no" answer. Does anyone realize how tempting it is to bring my fiance across illegally. We could have done this long ago and saved money, time, and much frustration. But we want to do it right...but at what cost? We are depressed, frustrated, tired, and I have lost what little faith i left in our government. Anybody have any connections to the US consulate in Juarez?....

Answer:
been there and done that and they denied him . 10 year ban .......... and we have 2 kids togather....... he is back here but illegally........ again it is no life to live to always look over your shoulder. hopefully everything works out good for you guys ........oh_hell
Yes, the government is just one paper clip away from doing anything all the red tape will destroy us and I for one elect to find a person or person in high offices that can make a fast and great decision and spin on a dime,,,But where are they ,,,,when we find them we should elect them for president.
Patience is a virtue. I agree, sometimes they are a little too slow in processing applications, but there are a lot of people trying to immigrate here. Please realize that it will be a lot easier for the two of you if you don't bring him in illegally.
My guess would be no. However, I always knew that as well. It was easier for my great grandparents and their families to become legal immigrants when they came here than it is now. Personally we need someone who'll ease the red tape to the point where we won't have people come here illegally.

Just don't expect the anti illegals to agree with you on that.
I would think they don't. The first indication that they've failed in their duty is the fact that at <5% unemployment, we have millions of illegal workers in the US, but the legal immigration quotas haven't changed. So, because of the disparity between jobs needing workers and the legal amount of immigrants is so great, that explains the fact that illegals are filling job slots that would otherwise go unfilled.

I have thought the government culpable in creating this situation, and they're going to make it even worse by giving the illegals amnesty.
Talk to all your illegal brothers and sisters. They are not helping the situation. I assume you are a legal immigrant? or?
Write the Fed. twerps and let them know how you feel about this. It is I am sure a prolem and should be rectified ...just like the problems associated with illegals.
The government is also the responsible entity for keeping street drugs illegal, drug gangs to rival the Al Capone prohibition days, bursting prisons, under full control of drug gangs training all the little non violent street dealers how to be vicious animals. Milton Friedman, Mr. Libertarian, was right.
They either know and create it or they are as out of touch and as dumb as rocks as they can be.
I guess they also cause illegal drug use.
