Where to report a fraud marriage?

Someone I know got married to a girl to get his green card. The thing is the poor girl is being fooled and thinks the guy actually likes her but once he gets his green card he's gonna divorce her and marry a woman back in his country and of his parents choice. he hasn't paid her any money because she thinks he actually loves her. they don't live together, so if the INS asks them the right questions during their interview they will fail horribly. the only info i have is the guy's Social sec. number and the girl's address. should i report this? i feel like it's my duty as a citizen, and it's also people like these that make things harder for people who actually have bonafide marriages. Also, where would i report this? is there a phone number to call? and what do i tell them?

Answer:
yes report it. please do not let your friend get hurt any more then she is. report now. ICE 1-866-347-2423. call and tell them what he is doing. your friend will get over it.
I think you should mind your own business. It is not your duty as a citizen to turn him in. It's her fault let her deal with it.
You cannot report these things if you aren't sure of it. The wife would simply deny your words. They could take your to court for their troubles.
THis is a good question and it is tough to answer. Normally, I would say it's not your biz. These days, we need to be involved in this outrageous charade.
Usually, the interviewers get through this stuff as they know what's going on. I"m sure people do it. I know they do it.
I'm sorry I don't have a number for you. I think it is patriotic thing to do these days. We need more of this.
If you find a number, come back here and make us aware of it.
Good luck and thank you for your contribution.
It's not really your business. And that "duty as a citizen" does not fly. Just stay out of it, because what goes around comes around!
You can call ICE to report your suspicions, but be aware of several things:
1. ICE may not place a high priority on this type of case, figuring USCIS will handle it (or has already looked into it).
2. ICE may not place a lot of faith in the report since you are reporting your suspicions and not providing them a lot of evidence.
3. You may be completely off base. Not every marriage is the same nor is it always easy to tell how things are from the outside.
MYOB! I have heard that story at least twice where supposedly the guy married the girl for papers and one couple is still married after 12 years and the otheris still married after over 20. You don't know what's going on so stay out of it.
if the guy has a social sec # why does he need a green card?
I don't think there is anyone for you to call about it. You could tell the girl about what is really going on or you could try to convince the guy not to use her that way. If this is true, hopefully they will fail their interview.
Unfortunately there is not alot you can do. With all the changes to the laws they are free to do as they please. Believe me it stinks to be on the sideline but all you can do is be a friend when it all falls apart. It stinks that this happens but hey they are both adults and you really should just be her friend and help her when she asks. Good Luck!
I think you are a bitter twisted hater with WAY too much spare time on your hands.

It is none of your business if two people choose to get married. If they pass all the interviews (and they are pretty extensive - I know, I've been through them), and he gets his green card, that is up to them. If he divorces and then tries to use his green card to get his real partner into the country then that will probably not work because it's going to look really suspicious when they review her case, and see that he married for a green card.

Also when you get married you only get a temporary green card. It only lasts two years. To stand a good chance of getting a permanent green card you need to still be married when you renew. So if he really is marrying her for a green card, he will get two years at best, and then will have a LOT of hoops to jump through to get his permanent one.

Why don't you spend more time worrying about living your life, rather that trying to interfere with other people's personal business?
You really don't need to bother reporting it, but the USCIS or State Department are the agencies to contact if you wish to.

The interview process is such that scam artists will be caught out nearly 100% of the time. There is a certain dynamic that exists between husband and wife that simply can't be faked. And there are certain things that spouses know about each other that scammers won't know. (As well as things that couples often get wrong but scammers will usualy get right.)

A good friend just got his green card. He and his wife were interviewed individually and together. It was rather invasive but the interviewer had them pegged as legitimate in just a few minutes.
ice or the fbi
Mind your business.Remember, what goes around, comes around.BTW: Mr.Bostonian is 100% right, they usually can peg scammers in the interview right away.
