A NATURALIZATION TEST is a test that residents have to complete when they want to become a US citizen.
First you have to submit an application with a fee. Second you receive a letter after they have background checked you and stuff telling you if you are approved or not. If so then comes the Naturalization test, this test is done by a personnel from the department of homeland security. they ask you about 5 questions out of 100 questions about the US history/government, they also have conversation with you, you have to speak English and write a sentence (very simple) like: I have a red car. You have to pass all the questions and then you are approved or not. And that my friend is the test.

Hi there, well its actually very easy:
1. born in the us
2. married to a us citizen for 3 years you can apply for it 3 months prior to the 3 years of marriage.
3. permanent resident for 5 years you can apply 3 months before turning the 5 years.
You have to take a test in english but i think it's oral, they will ask you things like how many stars are in the american flag? its very easy, they just want to know that you are not an ignorant with no english language. And if you just go there and act very formal and stuff they might not even ask you a questions, it depends in the attitude you show to them also.
I also added where it explains the same 3 ways and others (military, parents, etc) & a link eventhoug its in spanish where you can check the possible 100 question they may ask.
Remember after april the cost of the citizinship will change from almost 400 to 800dlls. so try to apply ASAP.
