Im a green card holder n US,do i need to renew my passport in phils or here if i travel back home?
Answer:
If you just have a green card, you sure have to have a valid passport(i.e. the one that is not expired) to travel outside united states. You cannot travel without expired passport. It is my personal experience. But if you have already been naturalized as citizen of united states you can apply for American Passport and travel using it. Should you have any queries regarding your philipino passport you can always contact your embassy and I think it can be renewed here from United States.
try an embassy
Yes.
go to the philippine embassy
Renew in phils, then USA will accept you better and clearer as a resident of the USA cesspool.
No just call your local philippino consulate office and they will have all your required forms as well. You call only apply for american passport when you become a naturalized citizen. From the moment you recieve your green card; three years later you can begin the appication for citizenship. God bless and remain a model immigrant
Do it here if you travel. Don't renew it unless you need to. If your full middle name isn't in it they'll request your birth certificate in addition to the old passport when you renew it. They used to charge you Philippine income tax before they allowed it to be renewed, but they stopped that scam.
