Not a civil war, but if the Islamic nutcases explode any more bombs then there will be much religious strife for everybody.

There is no reason why the UK would experience a civil war. Try to read some reputable newspapers or watch decent news channels like CNN and the BBC to get a better perspective.
I think it is a real possibility that there could be such fighting in most countries if we are unable to bring a stop to the Islamic extremists, and we do not do more to prevent more from coming into our countries.

this country has always been a safe bastion to me even during the war years and Jerry was on the doorstep but i feel differently now and i feel also like a lot of people if they don't stop the undesirables entering this country there will be a conflict of some kind and sooner than later

I don't know how long some of these places can continue to turn their backs on their own citizens and not have some unrest. They're doing the same here in the US and it's not a great feeling to be a stranger in your own land. We're watching you guys too...worried as well. I don't know how much more they expect us to back up, bend over, and step aside...we're entitled to live as well.

I believe that if the Government fail to act positively to the current threat and do not use strong hand tactics to such indescriminate terrorists civil unrest could be imminent, towards both the perceived threat and even an out of touch Government.

Don't want to alarm you, but I believe YES. You can see the growing resentment, the splintering of society along ethnic lines, a widening socio economic chasm between the haves and have not's and an ever tightening "big brother" surveillance state - they know whats coming - they're trying to delay it as much as possible. If you live in a city when it kicks off you stand a good chance of being killed.
So, what to do? Start preparing sensible precautions, just in case. Change your lifestyle so, if bad things do happen, you're away from the immediate consequences. Move to a more rural location. Learn to grow your own vegetables, rear your own livestock (chickens are easy, as are rabbits) and learn the connection between them and food - teach your family to kill, pluck and gut the same. Forget the veggie thing - it won't keep you alive should the need arise. Educate your kids about edible wild plants (get a book!!) and fungus. Get an air rifle and learn to shoot - better still get a licence and a real gun. Teach your kids to shoot. Install solar panels on your house, install a wind generator if you can - you can get them from B&Q! Install a water collection system to irrigate your plants - learn how to filter the water through chalk/sand just in case you need to drink it.
I could go on, but you get the point. Hopefully f**k all will happen - in which case you'll have learnt some valuable skills and will be living off your own organic veg and enjoying tiny shopping and electricity bills whilst living in a nice rural location. If it does kick off, however, you stand a significantly better chance of survival - the cities will be kill zones, pure and simple.
And no, I'm not a survivalist nutter - but I do live in the country & I'm ex-forces and have seen just how badly we can treat our fellow human beings.

We have a perpetual civil war in UK, it's called 'democracy'. Our arguments are usually settled via the ballot box.
Here in London where I live, we have the London Mob, who occasionally hit the streets big time and 'do it'. Last time out was the Poll Tax Riots during the 200 years of the Thatcherite Dictatorship.
Otherwise people go about their lawful business while being car bombed at Glasgow airport and locations in London etc.

I don't know about a civil war but there will most likely be a world war.Not a happy thought, don' t worry about it you won't be of any help to your family if you worry about things you can't control.
