I was told that the agents lied about the facts of the incident and failed to arrest the drug dealer when they had the opportunity.
I think you are stuck on this cause. They were convicted. They were not railroaded. Period. How about a new cause like global warming or don't you think that effects your children's future?
Simply put, it's another case of do-gooders trying to take up for drug dealers and murderers. What a shame. Bush needs to take the time to right this wrong. And soon.

I couldn't agree more with you. Lou Dobbs has covered this a lot and I can't believe that Bush doesn't pardon them. They deserve it because they were protecting the US. Of course Bush HAS pardoned a record number of drug smugglers....must be for personal usage.
Of course this is an outrage. Anyone who has studied this case will tell you there is a FOX hiding behind the BUSH somewhere.
Obviously some people on this forum just donj't seem to get it. This case has been most recently publicized on "Americas Most Wanted" Jurors on the case were interviewed and stated they were coerced into voting guilty because they were lied to by prosecutors. Thousands of citizens have signed petitions, Congressman have called for investigations. This case is so high profile that the Bush alluded to it in his State of the Union, yet these two agents are still in jail.
Now if the government can do this in full view of the American people and get away with it what do you think they could do to you? For those of you who so smugly say who cares I hope you are next. Where is the ACLU on this? Yes that's right nowhere to be found because they are not really about liberty are they?
The real criminals here, besides the drug smuggler, are the prosecutors from the attorney generals office and Bush himself for allowing it.
The very frightening thing about this case is that it is so black and white in it's obviousness. The wrongness of it for the two border agents. Their trespass against the law was minor to what the thug they shot had done. The thug goes free, has the gall to be able to come back to the US and sue AND be given complete immunity to both his crime at the time he was nearly apprehended as well a another crime after that date of drug running.
This case is such a stupendous indication that our government and it's top leaders are involved in some mis deed or criminal conspiracy against America, it has to make you think about how much more has been done/is being done against us all. 911? You all know the theories on that? GB's questionable election win? The big question really is: Where will they stop, assuming they stop at all?
Frankly, it makes me sick inside and I fear for the continued life of this country and it's future in the hands of people like those who are suppose to be enforcing the law and doing what is best for Americans.
We can guess all day about this all. Where does the buck stop? When will "enough" be TOO much?
When will Americans know "without any further notice" that we can take no more and we must do something or simply agree to be milked to death and die like cowards without the heart to have and take recourse?
Screwed by our own government, the people who perpetrated this act will burn in hell that's for sure.
